We are boring to watch that’s for sure. But we have points on the table. Football has become more about not losing than trying to win. Personally I would like more attractive attacking football But let’s face it without 100’s of millions spent we can only hope for drab wins by the odd goal. With good defending along the way.
Don’t mind defending but it’s the passive nature where we all retreat to our half before competing for the ball which is unacceptable. We should be defending from and where we lose the ball.

I haven't seen us play well all season tbh ,,, we've relied on the other team missing glorious chances too much. There is a good defensive fortitude to the side still and max has offered something out of nowhere , but this notion that we're playing better football is beyond belief … Rafa left us the 7th best side in the league from xmas till may last year, so comparing anything other than that is a fallacy. I like Bruce and I hope he does better why wouldn't I , but right now I don't see it and I think it's more likely that over time we will see why he has a poor managerial record.
Managers like Allerdyce, Hodgson, Bruce and co. Might be entering a golden era. These managers rely on getting points over performances and nowadays in the premier league that can mean literally hundreds of millions of pounds difference. I think Bruce is doing well with his resources. I'm tired of people being dogged on for liking the season so far. If you can find no joy in Newcastle being 10th by Jan, then I'd really put football down and go do something else. This is our level. We are no better or different than Palace, Burnley and stuff. We are having a good season and it's enjoyable.

I don't think those teams or we are ****. At all. Suggesting we are at the level of teams that compete for the top ten isn't an insult, it's an incredibly difficult league. Hardest in the world.

If this is the hardest League in the World then standards world wide have plummeted unbelievably low. Sky likes to tell us it is the “best” or the “hardest” but in reality that’s just to sell their “product”. It may have the most money and it may have the best paid players but too many modern day footballers are more than happy to sit on a bench “resting” rather than playing. Just look at the benches for the top teams to see that.
