I live close to Manchester so can't make every game but in recent times saw the lads at Man City and games at SoL vs WBA and Wigan where granted won the latter but in three games let in 10-goals (speaks for itself). Granted we've had injuries but tagging onto numerous threads during those games SB showed a distinct lack of tactical nouse to give me any confidence he'll get matters right to at least have a comfortable-mid-table team next year (minimum requirement). Ellis Short clearly sees SAFC as a business/brand (no issue with that) hence that being the case he should be asking himself a few questions - 1) do I throw some more cash at this, 2) how much but the most important one should be 3) whether he gives such to SB. My job is one of helping business and one of the things we assess is managament capability - sorry SB but via a combination of going to games, watching live on tv/highlight shows over the course of the year I aint convinced. We can ill afford to go on another win-less run like the last couple of years as simply put we'll get found out (the bottom clubs are going down with decent point totals hence suggesting league is getting tougher for the bottom half clubs). ES do the right thing - yes give the club money to buy QUALITY players but seriously think if you want SB to spend it... no knee jerk reactions here just a simple 'business' assesment of the years performance...M O'Neill is my preferred choice (decent track record, style of play is ok to watch and has won trophies) - but regardless of who, make management decisions quick to enable (potential new) manager a full summer to recruit.
