Arsenal and Sunderland are both in the hunt for Hannover 96 striker Mohammed Abdellaoue. Abdellaoue, 25, has been outstanding for the German side following his move back in August 2010 and has been attracting interest from a number of European clubs. The Norwegian striker is keen to show he can compete at the highest level and could get a big-money move when the transfer window reopens in January. Reports in Norway suggest that Arsenal and Sunderland are the strong favourites to clinch his signature. Arsene Wenger signed Gervinho and Park Chu-Young during the summer but he is still looking to bolster his forward line. With uncertainty surrounding the long-term future of Asamoah Gyan, Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is also hoping to sign another striker. Abdellaoue's agent Stig Lillejord admits there is interest in the star forward and they will wait until January before they make a decision over his long-term future. Lillejord said: "For the time being we do not have an offer on the table but there are several European clubs that are showing an interest. We will wait until January and see what happens." After reading about Bruces parasites remarks on Gyans followers i reckon he will be gone in January, anybody seen this lad play.
