I'm not sure why, he never played him when he had him last time.... http://www.football365.com/news/20793/7331495/Doyle-joins-Lilywhites-on-loan? And Parkin's gone to the Udders for three months.
I didn't literally mean never, he obviously played for us occasionally, I just meant he barely played him.
PNE have taken someone from uddersfield as well today and let one go out on loan. Big questions there IS......How much longer will Phil Brown be manager. I think if PNE lose the next 2 away games it could be bye bye tango man. PNe are falling like a stone and PB has as many fans left as Harper does at Hull. lol.
Doyle could be better than most of his signings to date. But as you say OLM he was never rated very much by Brownie ........... but then again WHO WAS ! apart from Garcia and ***an.
i thought he had a great game against Watford was he a sub ? and i hoped he was set for bigger things , i dont remember seeing him since then ,
Yea he came on when we were 3-1 (5-1) up, did some step overs on the edge of the box and had a mint shot, scored the 4th a deflection if I remember right?
He just ran onto the ball and banged it into the back of the net, it was a nice striker though....
I always had a bit of a soft spot for Doyle to be honest, I thought he was a half decent player with potential. He kept the ball well, was a decent tackler and all round a good squad player who could also cover a number of positions. From what I heard he was doing quite well at Barnsley as well, so I have to say I'm surprised he's gone on loan.
Yeah I remember reading a thread on a Barnsley forum discussing if he was their greatest player of all time
