How much would Evans cost? Say 6 mill plus he s only 23 so less of a risk than Brown, Brown and Nedum can cover RB which Evans can't.
Well we can strike Evans off the list...... http://www.clubcall.com/manchester-united/defender-departure-unlikely-1234253.html Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is warning clubs off from making a bid for Jonny Evans as the defender is simply not for sale. Spurs, Wolves and Sunderland have all been considering making a move for Evans following United's £16.5m capture of Phil Jones from Blackburn. Wolves were reportedly preparing to offer £7m for the Northern Ireland centre-back's signature, but Ferguson is admant he wants the 23-year-old to stay at Old Trafford. Evans, who can also operate at left-back, may find his opportunities limited in the coming season with the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Chris Smalling and Jones all ahead of him in his favoured position. However, with fellow defenders John O'Shea and Wes Brown both tipped to leave the club in the next few weeks, Ferguson is not prepared to weaken his squad any further by letting go a player with a bright future.
Evans and Welbeck not getting a game will p*ss them off by January with a bit luck. Get them both then.
On experience Brown, Evans On Ability Brown On wages any of them i suppose On Age, Ned or Evans I would like all 3 but if i had to pick 1 it would be Evans as he does have CL experience, and been here before so knows the setup (I know ned has as well but not for as long) and age is on his side not like Brown.
