Brown's 3 match Champions League ban upheld ... Now misses Ajax away and AC at home. Next available for Barca away!
maybe sitting in the stands for such crucial games shall see him not be so stupid when the ban is up Doubt it though
He never stood a chance , UEFA always rules the one way, look after the big teams from the big Countries and let the wee poor country folk go to hell.
Agree super look at the Dortmund player that elbowed the arsenal player , why did uefa not follow that up ???
[h=2]Brown fails appeal ...[/h] " Brown appeal fails " surely ? I sense a hun oriented agenda here. Pud is looking more and more like a brother by another mother every day.... or.... is it a cunning bluff ?
By the letter of the law it was a sending off, it was light contact but there was the intent there, so yeah we have a rule which covers this type of scenario and Brown was punished at the time - but how to hell do they consider Brown's violent act to be so extreme to be outside the rule that was already applied and to warrant a heavier punishment? If Brown's actions were severe enough to warrant extra punishment what level of violent conduct in a match allows you to stay within the limits of this rule and not face a further punishment?
As I said Mick it's a farcical decision, I doubt they will now be handing out 6 game bans for two footed lunges.
Was the wee bastard from Brazil not diving with intent from the third minute . Didn't the referee have a friendly word with Neymar and it appears when Neymar advised who he was that was enough for the referee to give him special protection . Surely that was why the referee flashed the yellow card for such a long time . It was not to the Barcelona players explained to the referee that it was their special player was on the ground that the referee changed his card to red . It was obvious that a player from Scotland had no chance against a Brazilian god.
It was a deserved sending off ...in line with the rules of the game but a three match ban - ridiculous.
Mr T we were talking about a Celtic player, not that elbow swinging boot flying Hun called McCullagh .
