Alverez is targeting Mayweather? I cant really see that happening. I could see Mayweather avoiding him to be honest because of his power and he's pretty big too I just can't see it happening but he does look good to answer your question. I've not seen much of Broner but his record is impressive especially the k.o's.
Alvarez really needs to start stepping it up, even though he is only 21 he has over 40 fights and is the WBC champ. Martinez even though competing at 160lbs will make 154lbs but Alvarez doesn't want to know. Then you have the winner of Cotto vs Margarito, will Alvarez fancy that one? James Kirkland, a very dangerous opponent, in line to face Alvarez next, I expect Canelo to win but a dangerous fight, will he take it though. Lara, robbed against Williams, has the skills to beat Canelo IMO, will be a good fight. Alvarez has to fight one of these guys next, no morre gimmes.
Broner is looking good but that division is very weak at the moment. Gamboa, Lopez could step up and those could be good fights for Broner and Broner could step and face the like of Rios and Burns.
What's his (Alverez) chin like? I've seen him a few time's but I've never seen him get proper tested. If he does fight Kirkland he would defo get tested in that.
I've seen him troubled a few times, so he has to cover up. IMO his chin is not granite but he can take a good shot. Alvarez, doesn't take many chances, even when he has opponent in trouble he will not go for the kill and get reckless. Kirkland is a big puncher and will be dangerous, but is vulnerable himself. Even though Canelo is heavy handed I think he lacks real pop in his punches, he is a great body puncher though, decent hand speed and throws nice combination. p Nothing yells out to me as extraordinary though, and he needs to step up the level of opposition he has been facing.
Mad that a 21 year old is being talked of as not getting any more gimme's. Broner looks great but there is something stopping me buying into him fully. I don' know what it is.
He is young, but he has been a pro for 6 years had 39 fights and is WBC champ. He has fought some decent opposition, but he does need to step it up now. He has to fight 1 of the 4 I stated in his next two fights or it will just starting to look like he is being protected. Kirkland easiest of the bunch, then Lara, then Cotto/Margarito and Martinez is the fight where I think he has the least chance of winning.
I know, but all the same, he is still a kid. Depending on what damage Cotto/Margarito do to each other at the weekend, I'd say he has a decent shout against either of those. Martinez is well out in front at the minute.
