Reading the thread on Broghammer on the OS Forum has got my back up a bit like most of the **** on there he's been well slating by some are fans on there and I want to know why? IMO I think he's been one of our plus points this season and is still learning from his new life in England he speaks excellent English and seems to handle interviews very well. Ok he's yet the finished product but give him a few more months and I think he could our best player at club. To say Santos and Hunter are better then him is IMO just laughable if there as good as there said to be they would be first regulars and I'm not saying there bad players in anyway but I think if we had a couple of more experience players in there positions then the best thing for them would be a season long somewhere maybe in the Blue Square Pyramid. But it seems some fans want to blame certain players for our failures this season. One of the points made on Broghammer is he gets pushed of the ball to easy well then his team mates around him should be helping him out then the other is he's end product well that could be said for the rest of the players to. Or maybe they don't rate because he's German if that's the case then these fans need to grow the hell just give the guy some more time he will be the finished product very soon. http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.php?/topic/107423-fabian-broghammer/page-4
Agree with you '79. He's got pace, skill and enthusiasm. He's lacking experience and could work on his final ball; but he's young, in a foreign country and still learning his trade. When he goes off, usually substituted, I always feel that one of our very few threats has gone. He does track back, and harries opponents. He is one of our players whom the fans and management should be nurturing.
Broghammer's looked like our creative spark, along with Clarkson. On their day they can really make us tick. I really rate him. Sooner or later he'll start banging in a few goals too. I don't really know what our fans are watching sometimes because they slag off the quality players like Broghammer - Lines used to get a lot of stick too, and Wright. Then we wonder why these players go somewhere else and seem to play better. It must be hard to play at your best when sections of the crowd are always niggling away.
I really rate Broghammer. Yes he is a little raw at the moment but I believe that when he matures and it may not take that long, the fans will be slagging off the manager if he isn't automatically picked to play. Lets encourage these players after all what do we expect, we need players to grow and stay with the club; not get pissed off and return to bang in a few goals against u
Agree on all points made by Gastro he is working hard to adjust to a new life in a new country in a football league that takes no prisoners Lines and Wright both took stick along with Haldane each brought a different dimension to the Rovers team, som eof the guys around me always shout go forward all the time when a pss back to rebuild is the best option muppets. COR
Agree, I can't understand some of the criticism of the Hammer. He's quick and enthusiastic and he's weighed in with a few goals and assists in an otherwise struggling team. We need to nurture him, not castigate the little Ethel Merman! Also, agree with Gastro about him and Clarkson being our most creative players.
Makes me weep the way some of our fans get on players backs. It's like a ****ing epidemic over the last few years. On this very forum we've discussed the togetherness of the Twerton days. When we left Eastville under Bobby Gould we were **** but, admittedly through my rose tinted glasses, I can't remember players getting singled out, in fact I think it was quite the opposite, we used to encourage them all. Once upon a time Gasheads backed their team through thick and thin. Half the ****s moaning should **** off to BS3 where it's tradition.
I don't often applaud opposing players when they get substituted - and then again when that player was given m.o.m ............ but this happened last Saturday. Broghammer was a real nuisance for our rb - and when he got taken off Rovers had nothing. In the first half everything that Rovers created was through Broghammer. The team needs to give him the ball and invite his crosses into the box ( you might actually avoid relegation)
