We seem to think brizzle will either play with no fear and beat us or roll over and put up no resistance. Bearing in mind I've never heard so many moaning ****s near me the last few weeks, is there some new way we can all get behind the team? If we're drawing in the last twenty there's going to be some right moaning anxious ****s. Nerves will transmit to the team. So my idea is, mr Allam is 73. On 73 minutes we all stand and clap continuously until the final whistle. It shows our support and gratitude to him and to the team. Any better ideas?
Isn't that usually done to honour the dead? Might seem somewhat odd. I agree about the anxiousness of the fans transmitting to the players though. The City fans were awful at Wolves, which was in stark contrast to the Ipswich game, and I truly believe both effected the outcomes of the games.
I don't know, it is used then, but Chelsea did it for Di Matteo after he'd been sacked (clapping in the 16th minute because it was his squad number), Villa fans did it for Petrov as well when he first announced his illness. There's probably as many alive people had it as dead.
The worry I have is that Bristol City players will be up for sale and wanting to move to a club in the Championship - where better to put yourself in the shop window than a good performance against second in the league live on Sky TV?
Injury could ruin the chances of any move so hopefully they'll be cautious and come with a pre-season mentality. Anyhow, if we play well we'll win. Playing Tuesday & Friday is not on though.
Bruce needs to drill into the players that they are **** and to get right into them from the first whistle, also I'd like to see fresh blood like der Proschwitzer up front, who's to say he wouldn't run riot in this match being the biggest dark horse in the Championship at the moment
Some of the fans at Wolves were shocking, some dopey **** behind me kept screeching that Brady needed to be taken off, as he was ****ing useless. After one particularly loud screech, Brady played in a brilliant cross and after a moments silence, the dopey **** said 'about bloody time'. I wanted to make him eat his teeth, but junior wouldn't let me.
Didn't have any of that around me. That stand is **** for away fans, impossible to make any sort of atmosphere, probably much to the delight of Wolves. I did think though, reading how disjointed there fans were before the game, they made a fantastic atmosphere and really got behind their team despite how angry they were at the team. Other than a couple of groans when they misplaced a few passes, they really spurred their team on and gave them that extra bit of energy and maybe unsettled our lads a bit. I can only wish the KC stadium will ever sound like that again.
It is a deliberately **** away end, no song can get past half way down the stand and the singers in each half ended up battling with each other. There was only really right side/left side that involved both ends. Though apparently, we were lucky we lost, as the mob above us start dropping cups of piss if they're losing(I was with a mate who works with a load of Wolves fans in Dudley and he was pre-warned).
It's definitely got worse, it used to be way better than it is now. It's only been since we got related that it's been really bad. It never quite matched Boothferry Park(other than maybe the Watford play-off game), but it was definitely better when we moved, than it is now.
