M&S had 700m profit, an extra 200m in tax doesnt have to affect their prices at all, they just have to be content with only 500m profit

taxing the profits of mega corps would be a rare Starmer W

Rubbish you need to read it maritime laws doesn't give you permission to land on a French beach to pick them up. It also states you must return them to the nearest port which is France.

It's amazing how flexible the law is to some that seem to shout the loudest about it. I'd love one of them to rock up to France, or elsewhere with no paperwork and see how they get on.

They get confused, as there are a variety of laws that apply, so they select the best one to hide behind. If a vessel is engaged in illegal acts and/or unsafe, it's perfectly legal to take them to a safe haven, especially if that was their point of departure.

they have to be 12 miles out from the English territorial coast to be taken to England, but they can't do that as a mobile signal only works a mile out at sea, if they had ever been on a cross channel ferry they would know that.

There is no law for them, and British maritime law has not changed, The law is being broken because the government wills it but they do not act within the law, when a new government comes to power with balls, I hope they prosecute these gutless twats to the full extent of the law
