What is up with SL and his club picking poor designed shirts. First there was our horror with the odd white arm band sleeves now Bristol Rugby have unveiled their shirts which the fans are angry about. The difference is the club are listening to the fans and appear to be in discussion with the kit maker
Read the headline and thought SL had seen sense and banned the egg chasers from Ashton Gate. Yeh, I know it's special grass blah blah blah. I don't care that Reading, Swansea do OK with it. I'm telling you we will screw up, like everything else they try and organise (Ask Prem about the Bradford fixture). Clowns the lot of them. Next winter our pitch will be a plough ground.
City are now linked to them under Bristol sport and the club's will ground share. Expect to see a section of the ground primarily for the rugby in the wedlock. Also expect a sports bar, note use of wording sports.
I'm gonna take in this attempt to get the two sides tied closer together. I'm gonna go and watch a game or two this year and see what its all about, I'm liking the idea of watching with a pint if I want?
Im with you banksy. I used to enjoy watching Bristol rugby but hated going to that ****hole. Now I get to enjoy it at my 2nd home Ill pop down for about 5 games this season
It's not a bad day out. The level they are at is shocking, granted, but I'd recommend to anyone to go down and catch a game. Its far better 'live" than on the telly.
Watched the Bristol Bath games at Ashton Gate. One attendance was 20000 + but the atmosphere was peculiar, sedate even with Bristol winning one occasion. I am a little uneasy with City being in partnership with the rugby via Bristol Sport. The rugby club should be tenants and have had no say so in the re-development plans. The potential is there for rugby to have a detrimental effect on BCFC. In regards to the Eastend they already have.
