If you fancy taking in a bit of football and a local derby to boot this coming bank holiday Monday, then why not get up to the memorial stadium for the annual Rovers V City legends game. Its all good fun and played in a good but competitive spirit, plenty of goodwill banter between the fans too. This is played for a great cause, Kicking out for Kids is a not for profit organisation raising money for the care and support of children with life-limiting, or life-threatening illnesses, and their families, I have several friends who work tirelessly for this cause and any support would be welcome. Just been informed that Albert may well be playing today in the legends game.. Might be the last game in a City shirt? Come and say goodbye..
Shiny, i'm about a metre to the right of that photo. My boy scored the 4th penalty past Nigel Martyn and Carey and Scotty thought he had won it and jumped on him..!!!
Albert did play today and I was lucky enough to have a good long chat with him. Really nice guy and very honest too..
