Leicester fan in peace. I hear that Bristol had a bid for Cian turned down today, no fee was mentioned.
Does anyone know anything about the lad, I know that he has never played for our first team, but he has had a couple of spells at Rovers so they must rate him.

    Hello LcFcfox1

My personal opinion is that we should do everything in our power to sign him, he gives 100% and I am sure will become a tidy player at a higher level than league two with the right coaching, a Parkes/Bulger centre half partnership would be a real plus for us and really show ambition for this club.

Are there any vibes from Leicester at all with regards to his future, I was very suprised we managed to sign Parkes as I believe common consensus here was that he was probably more of an all round footballer than Bulger?

Good luck to you guys for the rest of the season.

on our OS forum, someone mentioned we offered £50k. my sources tell me we didnt try for a loan extension as we have many loans already and the manager stated he dont want as many loans as can only play 5 at a time so no point having more than that unless a loan comes in to replace another loan who is injured. ward rates bolger from the interview i heard from ward when ward joined us and talked highly about bolger. bidding for bolger made sense as then thats a signing which is not a loan. sadly it back fired as leicester rejected the offer and then someone else now came available who ward knows from before who he can rely on and had more experience than bolger.

i rate bolger very highly. he has a great partnership with parkes while they both were in your youth system. seems sad to see him go and looking like we wont see him here again. he has great potential and i wish we had 11 of him on the pitch because if we did we wouldnt be in this mess now. shame he has been injured for most of his loan spell.

Bolger has a good future initially at L1 or L2 level,he gets caught out wrong side of the striker occassionally but name a defender who has not been caught out this way, good turn of speed senses danger quickly likes to get forward when possible. Perhaps our bid was too cheeky who knows.

Bolger also has a great understanding with Parkes ex Leicester who as CJ mentioned we purchased a short while ago and with two other young defenders had a chance to form a tidy back four for the future, perhaps we will return to up the ante or Leicester will relent and let him go for a reasonable fee.

Ward our manager obviously needs experienced players given our current predicament so has picked up a 28 year old defender on loan, elsewhere.

Competition for the prem places looks tight this year if you make it players like Bolger will leave and go elsewhere as they do not stand a chance at this stage of there career of getting into the first team squad.
