The Post has decided to send a tweet saying: "Bristol Rovers fans branded hooligans by judge following pitch invasion" So apparently according to the Post, we are all hooligans!!! But when you open their link to the report, its says Fourteen Rovers fans branded hooligans. Why couldnt they put '14' at the start of their tweet instead of branding all of us the exact same as each other!!! Very poor stuff by them. Here is the report by the way....
It's just the way you read it I guess, it was fourteen as the report states and I suppose that they could have put that at the beginning of the headline but most people with any modicom of common sense would understand that it is not a generalisation of everyone who goes along to follow the Rovers. However and having said that there is no denying the fact that it was crass behavior and something by association that tarnishes all of us connected with the club.
Unfortunately it's another sad occasion in the history of bad behaviour by both Bristol team's so called fans.
in their tweet they had enough space to easily put '14' at the front. bristol rovers fans branded hooligans. 14 bristol rovers fans branded hooligans. they knew exactly what they were doing. obviously they will see it more beneficial to them not saying 14 as they will get more hits online with people reading it and more sales in shops with people buying it.
This paper are always stirring **** up about are club haven't you noticed how City are always splashed across the back page win or lose and we get a tiny section the papers been scummy vile **** for years now. If I had my way I would ban the MF'S from the club they would have no contact and would not be allowed to even mention us same goes for ITV West and Points West.
It didn't take long for the biggest t**t on these boards to pick it up!!!! 'Isn't there something called 'pots and kettles'? For example; Bristol City fans hit with banning orders totalling 100 years after Cardiff disorder A mob of Bristol City fans have been banned from attending football matches for more than 100 years after violence following a Bluebirds match. A total of 32 men were today convicted of public order offences which took place outside the Cardiff City Stadium and in St Mary Street on Saturday, February 16.
The biggest twat on the forum is always sniffing around for crumbs to have a dig at Rovers fans. I think he gets sexual pleasure from it.
thanks for your comment gas, for a second i thought sapphire was calling me the twat as i was the 1 who picked it up!
i agree but i would let james mcnamara in. on twitter he gives more info out about the club than rovers do and he gives it out hours before the club does!
Look who this was by.... http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Bristo...losing-Jamie/story-22927335-detail/story.html
I think there's something to be said for being a horse-punching hooligan. Within a generation it will be normal behaviour. We are trailblazers.
The paper is only interested in trying to sell newspapers - the truth always comes second. However BOTH clubs have a minority element who seem to think that this sort of behaviour is not only acceptable but actually good This give them the bullets to fire and means that decent supporters like ourselves all get tarred with the same brush.
