http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35612200 Everything in football is for sale at the right price and the latest English club to be taken-over by foreign owners is League 2's Bristol Rovers. Is this another Notts County-style false-dawn? Or will Bristol Rovers rise like a phoenix through the divisions with their new financial muscle? A new stadium is planned first, so where will it all end? I recall a documentary a while back which implicated former Middlesbrough Boss, Bryan Robson, who was hawking many English clubs around the world for sale. Is nothing sacred? Are fans simply powerless-pawns?
This one is going to end in tears. I can see it now. Bristol is one of those cities that should have a Premier League side. It will be City rather than Rovers though one day. These Jordanians are going to bankrupt Rovers.
I was reading this. I don't see what the appeal is apart from a hobby that may eventually go south. I might be wrong.
