We are watching another crap performance , super manager takes of Bates to accommodate his mate Fontaine back into the middle. The gas are being tanked 4-1 as I type. The two clubs even though leagues apart are in a right mess, Bristol football truly on it knees. I Do not see it getting any better either with these two jocks in control, it is bloody embarrassing to say the least.
McInnes must go and take Liam with him please. Is there anybody out there who can see the mess we're in - management I mean?
Whilst Derby undoubtedly created the better chances in the first half, it was 2 more episodes of "non" defending that put them 2 up however if Sam Baldock hadn't missed 2 very presentable chances by his standards, we could have gone in 2-2 at the break. You can argue that Derby didn't push as hard 2nd half, the fact is that we created more than enough chances to have won this game overall, we just didn't take and of course if you don't, you are probably going to lose. Mike, you're in Canada - you didn't see the game so don't join in with the clowns...
Shot by Steven Davies from 20 yards. Save by Adam Legzdins Liam Fontaine takes a shot. Brilliant save by Adam Legzdins. Jon Stead takes a shot. Save made by Adam Legzdins Albert Adomah takes a shot. Adam Legzdins makes a fantastic save Marvin Elliott takes a shot. Save by Adam Legzdins This is what the BBC said in the last 15 minutes. I wasnt there but it sounds like we gave it a go and their keeper played well.
We did Glenn and as I said above, we had more than enough chances to win - just didn't take them today...
Such threads are of relegation made.. January cant come quick enough I never want to pay to watch Fontaine captain our "defence" again
Agree....Christmas has come early for the Gas, Mcghee has been sacked, just one to go on your side of the City. Dont leave it too long so that the new manager is able to rebuild your team and spend wisely in the transfer window. Good luck COR View attachment 19688
Fontaine was ****ing woeful today he got beat 3 times in 15 minutes in the second half by sammon and fonts had the ball all 3 times. Richard foster again is ****ing terrible every time he got the ball he would sent it 50 feet in the air and straight back to derby bates and McManus were no better and overall the whole of defence was terrible. Now we move on to the midfield Joe Bryan had a good and steady game and again didn't do much wrong. Elliott and Danns were **** in the middle today they offered nothing going forward and nothing protecting the back 4 Alb ran his socks off and every time he looked to be a threat 3 derby players surrounded him. Ryan taylor............ Why oh why does he start WHY!! Yes he holds up the ball but if we didn't play hoofball he would have nothing to do imo he brings nothing to the team. baldock had an average game and he should of really buried that chance in the first half but it was a great save. Another terrible TERRIBLE performance at home and im getting fed up of it. McInnes isn't capable of managing this team and he hasn't had a impact onf the fans which is why the EE decided to sing Johnson Songs
Shiny keep the faith lad..................please,........... you will see I am not the biggest DMc fan, but i think (hope) he can get us moving, sadly I think maybe this season our luck will see going down though, the gas have sacked their manager, really don't think in the longer term this is helpful to any club in decline such as the bristol clubs
If you look on OTIB there's a mclueless in/out poll.. and more people want him in.. Unbelivable.. He's worse than Millen, yet he was slaughtered on here/otib.. but mciness seems a bit of a saint.. does my head in
Well come to the conclusion I've reached mate.......there are a hell lot of City fans that havn't got a clue about football mate, otherwise they would have seen, months and months ago that our manager is totally clueless and will take us down. The backers/happy clappers will make all sorts of excuses to back their choice appointment.....It's funny as the majority that predicted the result today backed City to win.............I didn't bother as i'm often accused of being negitive!! Truth hurts!
Thats because we have enough fans who realise that it takes more than 5 minutes to rebuild a club, thank goodness.... He's not going anywhere so what purpose does constantly calling for his head do...? We all know our short comings and they are not on the touchline other than, as I have said before, putting too much faith in some of the existing squad to the managers detriment. I think he made his feelings on that subject quite clear now...
The jury seems to have made their decision prem and I don't think it looks good. I do understand your comments on the positive side but how much longer must we all suffer this rubbish? I'm closer than you think prem and I not a clown but a very concerned lifetime City supporter who joins others in their similar doubts about whether this can be turned around, remembering we will soon run out of time. Have a nice day.
thousands leaving early hundreds before half time would disgree with you.derby bossed it mate. city were second best and failing to close players down yet again. it not defensive failings it is a lack of team effort and shape that has beem missing all season. out fought and out thought yet again.
Heres my team to fix the team shape Heaton Foster d Wilson McManus Cunningham Anderson Reid danns Bryan Baldock Davies
Based on Radio commentary and the couple of minutes on BBC TV last night. And I accept that Radio Bristol commentators are not in Alan Green's league for actually commentating on the game - too much reporting of other scores, telling us what colour shirts City play in and other comments unrelated to the match. Both City central midfielders were only mentioned approx 6 to 8 times in 96 minutes. Where were they today? First goal described as a repeat of last week's second goal by Wednesday. We throw everyone forward and get caught on the break. Commentator said back four dealt reasonably with initial break but midfielders too slow to catch up and get ball from initial clearance. Described as "schoolboy" defending. On TV as ball was played in to City's box from some ten yards inside touchline and approx halfway inside City's half, I saw two central defenders in middle of box with two Derby players goalside, and another Derby player also onside with another defender a couple of yards toward the other touchline playing all three attackers onside. Difficult to get good clarity on paused picture but I assume the three were Bates, McManus and Fontaine with Fonts as the one who was playing them on! Second goal was described as almost a copy of the first and again Derby forwards goalside to score easily. I know that frequent mentions on the radio do not mean that players are doing well, but the only City players that I heard frequent mentiion of were Adomah, Bryan, Baldock, Cunningham, and the much maligned Foster. According to commentary, he made several last ditch saving tackles, yet was often mentioned during the City attacks. Sounds to me that even if he could be having a poor game which I'm not saying he did, that he certainly isn't hiding from anything like some of the others. Where do we go from here?
It was fonts playing them onside but it looked to me in real time that one of there players was offside and seemed to go for theball but missed so maybe shoulda been flagged for interfering with play
It really does concern me the amount of fans still sticking by the man, the only way change is going to happen is with a united fan base wanting him gone. As for Lansdown and his board backing him they must have more money than sence. Act before it is to late.
What gives you the right to say you know more than others about football? Did you play at league standard? Did you manage at league standard? Are you a ref? Are you a football pundit? If you answer yes to any of the above I will concede this argument. If not then you will show your ignorance to slate other people's opinion when you are in no better knowledge about the game than any of us. And before you start saying you have probably spent more money on watching city than me. You have no idea how much I have spent over the years likewise I know how much you. So that my friend is not any grounds for a suitable argument.
