    Match Preview;
After the frustration and disappointment of losing to Stoke, we've now lost one, drawn one and won one in our last three. It seems the Cifuentes boost is already beginning to ware away as, from what I've read on here, Stoke was another frustrating performance. Dykes is still our top scorer, with 5 goals, but hopefully Frey will begin to chip in with a few goals, having opened his account against Norwich...and Hodge will also contribute more too. I mention top goalscorers because Millwall have Flemming on 6, Huddersfield have Hellick on 8, Stoke have Vidigal on 6, Birmingham have Stansfield on 9 and Swansea have Yates on 7. Only Sheffield Wednesday (Musaba, 5) and Rotherham (Hugill and Odoffin, 3) have top goalscorers who have scored the same number, or less goals than our top goalscorers. You could argue that chances are not being created, but I've also seen a fair few very good chances not taken by our strikers, and we can no longer afford not to hit the back of the net when the chance is presented. Dykes, Frey and Armstrong need to start scoring!

As for our opponents, Bristol City sit 11th, and have won two, drawn two and lost one in their last five. They sit 11th in the table, only four points from a playoff place. Their top scorer is Conway, with eight goals. Their manager is 38 year old Liam Manning, who joined in November 2023 and has since won 7, drawn 8 and lost 6 of his 21 games.

Team news and manager comments to go up if/when on the official, and others can add what they know.

Enjoy if you are making the journey, and as always... COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

Morning guys my take on tomorrows game over on our match thread-

Safe travels to Ashton Gate those coming down.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well well back to back wins against Boro and Saints how much could you have won if your were a betting man on getting that right.

We go again against QPR who are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the division-they play Stoke tonight away-a bonus for us having the extra days rest.
QPR have drawn the last two games to Norwich and Huddersfield at home but winning at Blackburn three games ago. At present sitting third bottom on 29 points three above Sheff Weds on 26 points who sit second bottom.
This is a game we must win if we are looking for a playoff spot - today we sit 4 points adrift with plenty of points to play for.
The Stats say at present we are looking upwards rather than downwards long may that continue. I am going for the same score as last night 3-1 to us.

Still seething after our performance against terrible Stoke. Lose this and that’s it I reckon.

Good Chair analogy on the W12 podcast, re his Stoke performance "He was trying to be a one-man band but didn't know how to play any instruments".

It's obviously nailed on that Rob Dickie will score against us so shall we just play 'time the goal'?
I'm going for the 88th minute. From a corner. Because of course.

For me Rob Dickie has been our best signing last season- hell of a player comfortable on the ball-loves bringing the ball out and scores some very important goals for us.

That's how we fondly remember him. Until we QPR'd him in his final two seasons and squeezed every living drop of confidence out of the poor bloke, turning him into a shell-shocked husk of a footballer, who had night terrors every time he pulled on a Hooped shirt.

That's how he started with us as well but when the chips were down he crumpled like wet cardboard. But then he was woefully out of form and at a less hare-brained club he would have been taken out of the firing line but that is not how we do things at QPR.

Well, we naturally hope it doesn't continue on Saturday and that he rediscovers his old QPR form, filling his pants at the sight of the Hooped shirts and generally wandering hopelessly around like he's been tazered. No doubt he'll score though, because that's what happens to us.

But after that, good luck to him. I'm not really bothered either way as he's not our player anymore.

He's not the only one. It's so hard to take that the two central defenders Dickie and Dunne who were so solid and reliable a couple of years ago should both turn to mush at the same time. Dickie's decline began when Dunne arrived and in his case the articles linking him with interest from Premier League sides like Newcastle clearly went to his head and seemed to be the prime cause of his downfall. He was never quite as good as he clearly thought he was and his lack of pace would have been cruelly exposed. By the time the Snake very briefly got us to the top he was definitely no more than second back up for the first choice defenders.

After the final whistle on Wednesday, I have not been on here (or Twatter). I just needed to clear my mind of everything hooped.
I am back now, and feel that we are not doomed yet. It would be quite typical of us to beat BC (and then lose to Rothrum?)!

Nearly 2500 Rs making the trip tomorrow? Mind blowing support, they at least deserve a significantly improved performance.

That's incredible. Hope they have something to cheer but does not seem very likely. However, 11 v 11 on the day and who knows?
