Rafa showed grandes cojones in dropping Janmaat and Lascelles in the last game and it worked out for him. I am expecting some squad rotation again but probably in midfield and with any luck it will be Gouffran that misses out. This should be a very winnable game but our away form has been so bad you can't have any confidence in getting the 3 points. I'll go for a 1-1 draw.

I think everyone just looked at the complete lack of analysis in the match day thread and thought "yeah of all this chit chat guff, who needs that on a forum"...

Newcastle: Sels, Anita, Mbemba, Lascelles, Clark, Ritchie, Hayden, Colback, Gouffran, Diame, Gayle
Subs: Darlow Dummett, Sterry, Hanley, Shelvey, Aarons, Perez

Very defensive, as you'd expect, I suppose. Not sure if this is three at the back and Anita/Gouff as wing backs? Or the usual 4-2-3-1 affair?

FFS man Benitez why not 4-4-2? Anita LB and Mbemba RB?

I hope he has sense and plays Anita behind Ritchie.

It's 4-2-3-1, Anita RB (Janmaat out of squad and likely moving to either West Ham or Inter), Clark LB, with Ritchie RW and Gouff LW. Mo Diame in the middle.

I personally think it's not right again. I think Diame is better driving from deeper so would have him alongside Hayden and use Shelvey higher up the pitch. Then again, we're unlikely to play the same eleven twice in a row so think this was about resting Shelvey and using 2 out and out DM's.

Should think it will be Clark at LB, Anita at RB, Mbemba and Lascelles at CB.
