Another game under the lights Tuesday 5th November 2024 7;45pm

Games coming thick and fast at the moments another tough test against a Sheff Utd who are flying at the moment having just beaten Blackburn 2-0 away Saturday and winning-seven of the last ten games.
However Bristol City are in fine form them selves unbeaten in the last 8 games.
This should be a cracker with two sides in fine form.
I am going for a Bristol City win 2-1
Sheff Utd will bring another sold out away end and under the lights a good atmosphere is expected.
Bristol City are a tough nut to crack at present and that is a feather in the cap of Liam Manning and Chris’s Hogg.
    Long may that continue.

Because of Tanner's injury I reckon LM will go with a back 3 and use Sykes and Roberts as wingbacks.
McGuane for Williams with Bird and Knight in CM and Yu out wide. Naki will be on his own again up top.

We might just sneak this one.

Not expecting a lot of goals, Sheff Utd have scored less than us, but good defensively. 0-0 all over it.

Nov is a tough month for us, much harder than Oct, imo.

Pick of the stats - Bristol City v Sheffield United
Bristol City are unbeaten in eight Championship games (W3 D5) heading into Tuesday night's clash with Sheffield United at Ashton Gate, where they are yet to lose a league game this season.

The Blades have recovered from two consecutive defeats to win two on the bounce and victory would take Chris Wilder's side above Leeds United into second before the Whites play on Wednesday.
      • Bristol City lost 1-0 in both league meetings with Sheffield United the last time the two sides faced each other in 2022-23.
      • Sheffield United have won four of their last six away league games against Bristol City (D1 L1).
      • Bristol City are unbeaten in each of their last 11 home league games (W6 D5), though could draw four in a row at Ashton Gate in the league for the first time since April 2009.
      • Sheffield United have won five of their last seven Championship games in midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), though the two games they failed to win were both 1-0 away defeats, including this season at Middlesbrough.
      • Sheffield United’s Kieffer Moore has been involved in four goals in six Championship appearances against Bristol City (2 goals, 2 assists), including in both previous appearances at Ashton Gate (1 goal, 1 assist).

Honestly, a bit like with Leeds, as long as we don’t lose, I’m not fussed. Games like this are about not losing, rather than the style of play for me.

I’ll be amazed and delighted if we can match Saturdays performance tonight - especially with all the flashes, pops and bangs going on.
I wouldn’t be surprised if some of our six fingered cousins from Southmead turn up in lady Smythe park and aim a few rockets at the open roof of the stadium during the game. To be honest I wouldn’t have chosen to play tonight if I had a choice.
I’d take a draw, with our unbeaten home record intact.

Will be more than happy with a draw. Think it’s going to be a grind.

A strange selection for me… Dare I say, an attacking looking lineup. Gotta say, Naismith as a RWB scares the $hite out of me….
