There you go folks my view https://www.not606.com/threads/bristol-city-ashton-gate-12-10-2022.402957/#post-16200759
I’m in two minds to go tomorrow or watch it on TV. Never thought I would say that since I was injured and could not go.
True. The god of football has decreed that Bristol City must never beat PNE in the league again - ever. They have been our bogey side ever since we managed to slay the Forest ghost a few years ago.
Another performance such as the first half against Birmingham will be enough for me and won't be tolerated by most of our fans I feel....simply dreadful and a relegation battle on the cards. We need to get back to high press and domination of possession but also tightening up at the back and reducing mistakes by keeping the concentration levels for 90+ mins... If the players aren't up for it after the display on Saturday, then I believe we are in deep sh!t..
I still haven’t been since the last game before COVID, I’m even considering not watching it at all tomorrow, like you that would be a first for me, I always watch RobinsTV when I can legally.
Seems to me a lot of part time armchair supporters on here -how many actually go to games. Many vent the frustrations and concerns but don't actually get down the gate and support the club.
They still have my money if I go or don’t go. I’ve got 3 ST for me, my wife and granddaughter. Before moaning at people not going find out the reason why not. I’m not asking for sympathy I’ve got a family bereavement. The mother of my granddaughter passed two weeks ago with cancer at 32. Others may have their reasons without you criticising people.
Sorry to hear this ROD 32 years off age taken far to early i know you're a regular at the gate my comment was not directed at you.
I have become what is known as an armchair supporter, I gave up my season ticket when LJ was made el supremo, my own personal reasons, Bristol City didn't give a cows cuss about my decision, of course not, I invested my money saved towards a retirement dream in Cornwall which I still treasure and finance, my dream realised and in their eyes a small loss, in fact I spend more of my time and effort supporting Bristol City FC now than I ever have partaking in this forum and other odds and ends which I do enjoy. People can criticise me but I don't give a monkies,I have held season tickets for me and my family for countless years, I have partook in organising and joined in money raising campaigns whan the club was on its knees, I have supported the club across the country like many others but time has its consequences and I still shout out Up the City !
Had a season card before COVID, not comfortable being in a crowd still, had one on and off since I was 16, probably even before, been going since a child stood on the railings/wall at the front of the East End.
You'll probably find there will be a lot more armchair supporters after the performances these last few weeks....It's as much to do with the dross being on display and IMO it's down to NP & his team to start performing to entice the punters back....works both ways mate. Plenty of reasons why people choose alternative methods, I think your criticism is a little OTT if I'm honest and most of our views are of what we see, whether it be at the game or from the armchair......all valid IMO..
Think that's a bit rich RR seeing as you go but are clearly no more informed than those that dont by thinking NP is our saviour. Clearly you dont need to go to games to know that to be untrue at present. Similar to Wiz I have had a lifelong plan to split my time in retirement between my "home" and my little place to escape to, which happens to be in Spain. The club have had plenty of my money over the years going back to before they were promoted to the old Div 1. I have ensured my son supports city and he is a regular. I do restrict my comments and rarely will comment on an actual game or performance if I have not seen it. Doesn't stop me having opinions in general on the progress ( or not ) of the club. up the city.
I dont think the comment is toward individuals s that are ST holders or regular attendee's .. for 35 years I was about a 90% attendee past 30 years maybe down to 51% although last 5 years down to more like 15%+ managing just 4 or 5 visits. There are a few people whom I know have the scarves and exude BCFC but in the past [ hard to say how many ] years ... 10+ ? have never been to AG ... these are the ones RR are on about!??????
