Both Neil Kilkenny and Cole Skuse are unavailable, otherwise O'Driscoll has no new injury or suspension problems. Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies will assess Algerian midfielder Adlene Guedioura after he returned from international duty with a bug. On-loan Norwich centre-half Daniel Ayala (hamstring) is still out. MATCH FACTS Head-to-head ⢠An Adlene Guedioura strike saw Nottingham Forest start the season with a 1-0 home win over Bristol City, to set up for the possibility of only their second double over the west-country club in 34 years. ⢠The Robins have only recorded one win in 33 league and cup matches against Forest. ⢠They have not claimed maximum home points against the east Midlands club since a 1-0 victory in the old Second Division in December 1974. Bristol City ⢠Bottom-but-one Bristol City are five points from safety, and own the weakest defence in the division, having conceded 58 goals in 30 games. ⢠The Robins have won two and lost two under Sean O'Driscoll, who welcomes the club that sacked him on Boxing Day, after just four months in charge. ⢠If on the pitch from the opening whistle, Marvin Elliott will be making his 200th Bristol City start. Nottingham Forest ⢠Managerless Nottingham Forest will be hoping to avoid three successive league defeats, which was last suffered in January last year. ⢠The mid-table club won just one of the seven league and cup games under Alex McLeish, who left the City Ground on Tuesday by mutual consent. ⢠Forest are hunting maximum points on the road for the first time in seven attempts, since beating Wolves 2-1 at Molineux on 24 November.
Ooh-Aar Radio will be tuned in at 3:00 pm down here on the islands and the weather is good ,how about up there?
Notts Forest Away form is dire they are w/o win in last 6 lost 4 drawn 2.They also let in on av 1-2 goals last clean sheet was in Dec 2012. Relax have a few beers 3 pts in the bag. Citys form is almost mid table looking better as you have won 3 out of last six games at home. The only issue is that you tend to let in on av 2 goals to every 2 goals scored. The onlly downside is that they have a new manager suggest an improvement in there on the field antics so a draw looks on the cards which should keep your run going. COR
Wiz in your commentary it mentions they have a manager then at the end they do not have one, which is it eh
But I wouldn't mind betting that he has already, will be delivering some form of team talk at some time this morning/early afternoon. He will have wounfd them up so we should expect them to come out all guns blazing. COYRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREDS
Apparently Billy Davies is somewhere up North ?Blackpool today I wonder if he is having second thoughts?
Well done everyone, what a good battling performance. Shame about other results but we can only concern ourselves with our own results. The confidence among the squad must be growing and while I normally don't pick out individuals straight after a game, I must mention Marvin who put in a good shift even though he must be feeling the effects of the flight back from Mexico.
How's your day shiny? Mine is pretty good. Great win and the boys sound like they are in a better frame of mind with Sean at the helm don't you think? Was concerned with the starting line-up but they all put in a shift and a special mention to Liam Fontaine.
Hey Redordead; What a day! Both sets of reds winning on the same day. I'll open a good bottle of red wine to celebrate.
I'm off out for a bit and will sink a few, might be patriotic and passionate tonight and have a pint of Cider for City and a pint of Brains for the Welsh. It was truly a great day, thought that wooden spoon had our name on it
