Sorry this one is a bit late. This game sees the start of the busy December period with 7 matches to be played by the end of the month, hopefully I am still writing these by the end of the month! Norwich City make their second trip of the season to Ashton Gate on Sunday, December 3, to take on Bristol City in the Sky Bet Championship (KO 1.30pm). Norwich are coming into this on the back of a 3-2 defeat at Watford on Tuesday night. An early double from Danny Batth and Hwang Ui-Jo had the Canaries off to a flyer but the hosts the took charge of the game and scored 3 without reply. The Opposition Bristol City are currently sitting in 12th position in the Sky Bet Championship table (prior to Saturday's fixtures), just two places and two points ahead of Norwich in 15th. They fell to a 1-0 defeat at St Mary's Stadium midweek, and had won two and drawn one of their three games before that trip to the south coast. One to Watch Taylor Gardner-Hickman Since the arrival of Liam Manning into the hotseat at Ashton Gate, West Bromwich Albion loanee Taylor Gardner-Hickman has turned in some impressive performances in the Robins' midfield. The 21-year-old has a goal and two assists so far this season, and will be hoping that his good run of form can continue. The Head Coach Liam Manning Norwich native Liam Manning played for the Canaries at Academy level before eventually joining Ipswich Town where he would spend a year as a professional before some time in non-league football. With coaching experience at Ipswich and West Ham under his belt, he joined New York City FC as director of coaching in 2019 before being made head coach of Lommel SK in Belgium. He returned to England with MK Dons, almost bringing them to the Championship, and was at Oxford United prior to joining Bristol City. Last Time Out This is the second meeting between the teams this season, having already locked horns in the second round of the Carabao Cup. A Przemysław Płacheta goal secured Norwich's passage to the third round on that occasion at Ashton Gate. Norwich Presser Highlights Hwang has a hamstring injury and likely to be out for the rest of the month. Gunn, Forshaw and Rowe all back in training, late calls for each to be included this weekend. Sargent, Gibson and Lungi could be back for the Huddersfield game on 23rd, narrowly missing out on the Derby unfortunately! Hanley may be back for the Derby. Positive vibes!!! ON THE BALL CITY!!! NEVER MIND THE DANGER!!!
So, the latest chapter in the story of Adam. Not Genesis 1 and 2, the one subtitled "Young striker finally comes good". We're rooting for you, Adam.
Not on Sky?? Thought it was, but not apparently. Streams might be difficult to find. This one is really good, but I found it easier to work after I had bookmarked it and saved it to my home screen. Works brilliant now. http://www.fawanews.com/
Nice one Suffolk! We also hope you're in the hot seat for the rest of the month. Much may depend on whether Rowe can play. Here's WhoScored's preview:
Safe journey to all away supporters today. What twat allowed a 1.30 ko, and it ain't even on Sky, so we can't blame them.
What had Batth done that gets him on the bench? Why play MCLean as CB? Hernandez hasn’t proved himself as an asset to this side. At least Gunn is back. Is this the gamble of a manager who has lost the plot?
McLean at CB and Hernandez starting again. Hernandez was worse than Fassnacht last week, surely time to give Sainz a chance. At least Gunn and Rowe are back. Looking forward to seeing Nunez in CM
Not much goal mouth action until the last 5mins. Gunn saves a good shot from outside the area, then Barnes chests a chipped down and volleys over, Hernandez then hits the post after a cut back from Rowe
The game has now falle into a similar pattern to the Watford game with Bristol having the lions share of possession and is struggling to string 2 passes together
Story of our season, we look dangerous and in control but never quite score… then suddenly they are on top and ruthless
Our press is awful, we don’t go as a team, always leave one or two free players who are allowed to then lock through the broken press with ease
