Nige’s notes: Norwich City (H) 28 August 2023 Welcome to the final week before the international break when we have games against Norwich City at home in the Carabao Cup and away at Swansea City in the league. Thanks to the 400 of you who made the trip to Hull. We know it’s a long trek, especially on a Friday night, but you are always very supportive and hopefully you will have seen a real commitment from us to try and win games. Right up until the 96th minute we were trying to put Hull on the back foot and doing everything we could to get the three points. Going a goal behind was an irritation for us but, after that, we pretty much dominated the game. We created chances in both halves and hit the target a lot. They defended the goal with a lot of commitment but we were disappointed not to come away with all three points because we created so many chances so we have to find that clinical edge. It was a decent squad performance because the players who went on in the second half contributed as well. After the Birmingham game, where we were underwhelming, it was an important to get a positive performance but we have to start doing that home, exciting our own fans and being brave enough to put ourselves on the line to impose our game. On Tuesday evening we welcome David Wagner, his players and staff as well as their travelling supporters to Ashton Gate. Norwich City have had an unbeaten start to the season but this is a great opportunity for us to progress in the Cup, which is always good, and the most important thing for us is to win at home. There may be changes to freshen things up but we have quality players across the squad so we have every confidence in whoever is selected. Enjoy the game. Very optimistic Wiz - I’ll have a pint of what you’re drinking mate I think a 1-1 draw is as optimistic as I can get for this one!
Expect Mehmeti, TGH, Roberts, Cornick and possibly Yeboah to get game time. Definitely wouldn't play Williams with his injury record.
Does anyone know if it is available on Robins T.V.? This is a match where we need to show improvement because so far this year we are a bit of a damp squib.
Depends how seriously Norwich take the EFL Cup at this stage I suppose ? I'm sure their priority will be promotion above a second rate cup competition ?

Best thing about it compared to Dolman, is you aren’t sat in the lap of the guy next to you, and your knees aren’t up around your chin
