Bristol City v Leicester CityRicardo, Vardy, Praet, McAteer, Alves – Leicester City injury latest ahead of Bristol City clash Leicester City are hoping to welcome back a couple of key players over the Easter Weekend with nine games remaining to earn promotion back to the Premier League https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/...ews/ricardo-vardy-praet-mcateer-alves-9186885 please log in to view this image
We'll let them play out, defend and deny space in our half and hope to frustrate their far superior quality. Hoping for a draw.........at least.
A win against a team like Leicester is always a bonus but based on our recent form I can only see another defeat. I have always had a soft spot for the Foxes as I dreamt that one day we may be as competitive as them but we have mired in apathy for so long I can never see my dream coming true. The fact that we are no more than an average Championship club, at best, irks me when you look at the others less blessed than us that have succeeded in spite of their small attendances and lousy stadia. Perhaps next season things will be different with a totally new philosophy to succeed coming down from on high as we hire a new manager and kick all of our existing players down the road to somewhere else where it doesn't matter. Whatever is so wrong with Bristol City won't be solved during this ownership due to the lack of empathy with their great following (you all), and the undisputable truth that they haven't got a clue as to how to build and run a competitive football club. I don't know how many attempts they actually want but for me the time has come for them to move on before we drop like a stone with a big weight around our neck. I don't have the right to tell SL what to do or how to run his football baby but surely it has to be better than this Steve, Brian and JL.
Liam Manning reveals vital Bristol City duo returning against Premier League chasing Leicester City The Robins host the Championship leaders on Friday afternoon https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/...ester-city-premier-league-scott-twine-4568313
Glad I’m missing this one only see a tanking for Bristol City 0-3 would be a decent scorline on current form anymore than that Manning has to go. I don’t see anything at Plymouth after either. Ashton Gate going to be a hostile place Friday me thinks.
No one wants City to lose, I don’t think RR does either, I’m sure he’d much rather we win both games, but feels we’re unlikely to do well at either. We do tend to do better against better teams so who knows. It’s just like us to pick up points when least expected.
Just being realistic and not masking over the big issues-seriously don't see anything coming our way in the next two games. i would be delighted if they did but just don't see it.
But he's grieving Ashton, as are you ........in the mean time, he's lapping up any losses to make a point....(toys out the pram)
Need to have a word with JL who really through the toys out the pram and now it is biting him on the ass big time. The grass is defiantly not greener on the other side with this appointment and i do not blame Manning for taking the job.
We are in midtable, 14th place, 8points above relegation positions, 8 games to go including Huddersfield(H) & Rotherham (H) I'm confident we will gather enough points to finish midtable. Personally I think the sacking of Nige was rediculous and a personal wish of our feeble chairman, the simple fact is he has gone, LM has been appointed, I think the bloke is having a tough time but deserves all the support we can give him, he has not spent or contributed to the debt or lack of quality problems, he has inherited them, results are very poor and will cause anger and concerns but let's make judgements at the season end, be disappointed and criticise yes but we need to see it through to the seasons end.
I agree we’re ok this season, my worry is next season. We are going to need to bring in players this summer, so to leave a decision on the manager until then may be too late.
My concern is twofold or more If Manning continues to be Manager into the start of next season will he be given sufficient funds to bring in reasonable quality ? Will any players bought be his choice or will BT and or JL be deciding what we need ? And lastly will Mannings coaching approach and beliefs be good enough to actually take us forward into a full season
