If you read these in the following order, you will see a statement from the Supporters Club & Trust launching a new manifesto and posing some serious questions.

The manifesto is backed up with some of the things we have done to date and are looking to do in the future in collaboration with the football club and other supporter groups.

The article is the response to some of those questions from Jon Lansdown in an article published today.

Their club fans reps don't shard information with fans. They are also not being used to broadly engage the club with support via consultation.

Miles Hendy and Stuart Rogers of the supporters trust and club are professional people, highly professional, more professional than those, or some running the club who have forgot that BCFC exist because of its fan base. A elected supporter on the board would help the club improve its abysmal PR, long term it would be hard not to help improve on City going backwards, and being in debt up its eye balls.

    This is amazing!!!

'Q Is there any merit in having an elected supporters’ representative on the board to vote on issues involving stadium facilities, ticketing, match day experience and community initiatives?

A This has been tried before between 2007-10. We found it difficult to discuss some matters openly in front of a fan and it proved an embarrassing exercise in that there was so much we could not say.'

You will know that at Rovers there are TWO Supporters Club elected directors...Ken Masters and Brian Seymour-Smith.
They both do an incredible amount of valuable work for the club, and always exercise discretion.

There are many committees, like school Governing Bodies, where topics come up for discussion and certain members
either declare an interest or withdraw from the room whilst that topic is being discussed.

I really could not believe the crass arrogance of that statement by Jon Lansdown!

Pirate is not a complete Sag.!

He has a very strong attraction to the red side of the City and has very often had to wrestle with his chosen preference of being a Sag. I would liken it being born in the body of a sag but mentally needing to be Red.

Its just about how long he can fight it..

I am a Bristolian. To be honest I sometimes find all the insularity and bigotry that goes with supporting a team
sickening. Having said that Rovers are my team.
banksy...what about the point I made above?

    The point you made..

I can sort of understand what he is saying, if you have a fans rep they do really need to be able to communicate at board level, there are often very good reasons why confidentiality is of utmost importance. they are running a business remember and no successful business can be ran by committee, no matter how we would all like it to be..

besides, so many different opinions, you only have to quickly browse through here to see that ( in a very small proportion of fan numbers)
