Next season if it was guaranteed what would you chose, Bristol city to win league 1 comfortably or England to win the world cup, Beating Argentina, Spain and then Germany in the final?

Do you chose the team that just represents us as a city, Or a team that represents us as a country?

Gas heads can chose also but obviously being rovers win league 2................. <laugh>

There was a similar thread to this on the Rovers OS Fans Forum recently.
The majority came out for the home team club to be promoted.
Many seemed to have 'fallen out of love' with the national team.

Think I would chose for city to win the league. I love England but there's more of a thrill when city win or score compared to when England score. Then again I want to see England win a WC in my lifetime. Some of the youngsters we have coming through are very exciting, Lets hope they live up to potential.

As a Welshman it would have to be City over England.
But I always want British countries to do well except when they play Wales and British clubs in European competitions to have success.
Likewise, I want West Country clubs to do well in the Leagues so for example I would not want to see Plymouth relegated from Div Two. Although Yeovil and Bournemouth getting promoted if we go down is pushing it a bit!

    City every time.

I've have fast diminishing interest in the prima donnas who play for England.

Worst of all - Rio bloody Ferdinand.

And to think my Dad and I cried together in '66.

England national set up is a complete and utter farce. Underperforming overpaid jerk offs.

    City for me

England can go **** themselves for all I care <whistle>

No in reality like Cider abroad, I like to see all the British teams do well I WC and EC, but once the tournament kicks off we get all the ****e that goes with I telling us who to support etc, so I lose interest in England. If people left me alone I would support thm my wife's English and only likes a couple of inches of Welsh <whistle>my boys are English so I do want them to do well

I at least saw it in 1958 if only on TV. Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland all at the finals in Sweden.
And of course the first view of the greatest player of all time - PELE.

i have never seen england away before. would like to do so but i presume its very expensive with flights and accommodation etc so i havent looked into it.

i know no one at all who travels to watch england away. so i am keen to get your feedback if you can. is it expensive as i think? is it easy getting tickets? have you done just single games or tournaments like WC?

bet you got some good experiences <ok>
