Good Morning you REDS - Happy May Day.
5 days to go for our last matchday, then we have all the retained and released lists next, transfer speculation and the wonders of the world cup in Russia.

LJ still in the news apparently WBA have still got him on their shopping list, personally I can't see him moving from the protection of Steve Lansdown umbrella but we will see.

Besides from the relationship with SL, moving to West Brom would be extremely risky. Being a relegated club (most likely), their fanbase will expect promotion straight back and LJ wouldn't likely be considered a sexy enough candidate, particularly as his stock is down at the minute (being kind, suffering from his own early season success, being mean, not being able to maintain consistency).

Their caretaker's done a great job so far. Provided he has the backing of the players that'll remain, he should probably be given a fair crack at it - unless they can persuade Warnock to jump ship(!).

LJ highlighted the other day that he still has 2 years left on his contract and he is already planning for next season, I think it would be suicidal for him to join WBA, not being argumentative but I think SL and his security blanket around LJ is a major factor in LJ's thinking, he is going nowhere.

    Hello Wiz.

Replying here as you've closed down todays effort! I like the general idea of a daily Chat Box, but I don't think the timing is necessarily right.

As our season is now over, the usual end-of-season lethargy has crept in!! Very few posters seem to be saying anything about anything, so we all appear to be waiting for transfer activity/pre-season friendly/world cup news to start filtering through.

Maybe leave it a couple of weeks and give it another go for a few days!!

I have to admit Wiz that I have only just realised what these were about!!
I quite like them - but understand why you would stop with only a handful of posts on them. I agree with Reliant Robin that it’s probably the timing - I’ll keep an eye out and contribute if they start again - it’s better than the perpetual ‘LJ in or out’ crap polluting the OTIB board!!!

Why not do a weekly discussion thread and pick a different topic each week (which may or may not be directly related to BCFC)

    For example subjects could include:
City's Academy - Is it working and where to from here?
    Safe Standing
Well Read (and is the match day programme obsolete?)
    The Concourse
