When you read the article it's just saying that LJ and Dack are in Dubai at the same time and may bump into each other

But we all thought Freeman would step up easily. I know your partner MTG has seen him regularly but what have you seen him to make that statement?

Yes and no doubt the only team that wanted him. Dacks a very much wanted man.

I'd say that he's better at the front of three in the middle with pack and Smith or equivalents behind him

We're fighting Palace for him now. I can't see him turning them down in favour of us......

First team football is a motivator for hungry players. Ask Dwight Gayle how his stint at Palace has been so far (albeit he did get to play towards the end of this season.....).

Dwight Gayle clearly hasn't been that hungry since last Summer then.
It must be easy to sit on your ass as a Premiership squad player and pick up £40k a week or however much and not have to do much for it.

Pretty sure I've read Celtic have been linked with him also, which is something of a proven stepping stone to the Premiership.

He's got some varied options and coming to us would probably be the toughest (and probably least lucrative), however would probably result in the most game-time. That being the case, I think the odds are against us...

I wouldn't go to Celtic but I can see him wanting to join Palace as it's fairly near Gillingham and they're a prem side. However he could be loaned out to a championship side if not deemed good enough for the prem straight away.

We've often seen clubs buy from below and loan back to the league below to get first dips on a player and get them without going through a middleman club.

It is likely that palace could loan him to a championship club although it probably wouldn't be us. But could be a possibility.

    lol yes of course.
The little club try to sign the player from nowhere league, but Big Nob United come along and help themselves, then loan the same player back to the little club, a player who should really have been yours in the first place.
Somehow it all feels a little bit dirty…still, at least the Euros are beginning eh….
