Well, have to say, fair result but we absolutely paid the price for not taking any of our chances. Outside of that it was pretty even. Though we did look a little lackadaisical in and out of possession too.
What can you say about that? The players just weren’t sharp enough, too many poor balls and wrong options. At the end of the day they scored from 2 defendable headers but we missed 2 golden chances. Our midfield today was very poor. Ralls was as bad as I’ve seen him and SM must have seen that. I’d send him not Sang out on loan. Only bright spot was Colwill who was good. The ref was abysmal. Ok it would have been soft but that was a clear push on Romeo. Very disappointing overall as that’s now 3 goals in 5 games.
A good game today. Naturally I think we deserved it, but recognise how different it could have been had you taken your chances, but then we equally missed some big chances, it could easily have been 4-2 to us today, but I prefer the clean sheet. I think our midfield bossed yours today, not something we do often. I think both of us will be a lot higher than 17th & 18th this season.
Didn't deserve anything today - Bristol earned the win. Echoing something someone else has said above - Ralls was so slow in his thinking as well as over the ground - really poor half hour from him. If Rhino is fit, he must start every game. Sawyers needs to wake up. Colwill needs to start. As for strikers, we're struggling big time. Got to hand it to Harris though - at least he puts some effort into his game. Well done Bristol and no buts about it. Took advantage of some sloppy play from Cardiff today.
Was at the game just read your comments you defence looked good in the air but on the floor looked suspect. O’Dowda did nothing all game-thought he wanted to prove a point. I said at half time we need to play around your defenders on the floor. Think we will both finish higher comes the seasons end than last season. Nigel Pearson finally finding a set up that is suiting our players. Two great wins this week onwards to Blackpool next weekend with a cup game at Wycombe in the week. Good luck for the rest of the season guys.
Always disappointing to lose against local rivals. Didn't really deserve to win but the improvement over this time last season continues. I'm still hearing shouts for an experienced striker that's guaranteed to score for us and while I have some sympathy with that view, I also read on message boards of no less than 12 championship clubs that they want the same. I honestly don't know who is out there that we can afford and is available. I'm sure SM will be looking though. In the meantime we carry on the progress. What happened? One simple task for them to do. I go driving round the cheshire countryside with a trailer load of totty and I come back to this.
Wurzels started better but we got gradually in the game and were comfortably on top when Watters missed yet another sitter. They almost immediately scored and almost doubled their lead we then had a goal ruled out correctly for offside a great ball by O Dowda but Ojo went slightly early. It was all to play for 2nd half some great play immediately by O Dowda puts a ball in a dangerous area but Watters on replay is seen walking around outside the box. They then took over and deserved the 3 points we had some decent moments but badly lack a cutting edge. Colwill played well when he came on. Didnt help losing Bagan in the opening minutes. Wintle , Rino both werent at their best. Badly need a striker or 2 or look to Isaak Davies when fit.
Colwill needs to start. Losing a left back caused a problem as prevented Ng from doing his tidying up at the back. Giving Ralls a new contract was poor management. He’s terrible. When’s Adams likely to be fit?
I believe Ralls wanted a move away as his huge wages were cut, he waited to see who would come in for him and nothing came...his head was turned and is not the same player! Old regime...get rid! We win, we draw we lose....Championship football against similar teams to us....always interesting! Incidentally, Masky’s head is often turned, and it once happened in Pontcanna fields! MASKY OF LLANDAFF
Ralls had a shocker but the game was lost before he came on. Wintle has been brilliant but was poor today. Rino was completely anonymous.
Agreed and you can add to that. Sawyers is too slow - brain maybe in gear but his legs aren't. Colwill to start next time.
Agreed Hilts although he us not the proven goal scorer we need. He will add pace and put defenders on the back foot to create more space and chances for strikers but will only chip in with a handful of goals himself over the season.
