SO'D: "They've tried to do the right things and it's very pleasing."

    Bristol City FC ‏@bcfctweets 28m
SO'D: "We tried to play on the front foot. The application and understanding of what was needed was there."

SO'D: "We gave the crowd something to get behind when we flipped the shape slightly."

Despite my overall thoughts on SOD I congratulate him and the boys on that elusive first win. What needs to happen now is to show us all, especially us on the negative side of the fence, that this was not just a fluke against a weak team because we need to show up with this kind of performance for many games to come if we are to improve our league position.

Nevertheless congratulations are in order and let's hope this negative baggage has now disappeared from the mindsets of everyone concerned with Bristol City.

Well done to all, and about bloody time too !

    But let's counter that with...

Crawley had lost their previous 3 games and had not scored in any of them.

We need to now prove we can sustain some sort of form, because 2 wins out of 15 is still well below expectations and is relegation form.

This is still a really poor league bar a couple of clubs at the top

I am over the moon that we managed to win but the quality of the football, the actual football was rubbish but a scrappy win is good enough for me, SOD now deserves more time in my opinion and let us hope we get the quality he's promised us, 7 points from 9, hey ho let's enjoy it all together..

    Negative baggage is SOD.

We got out of jail last night - we were putrid till Jet scored from a defensive error.
Thank God Parrish made what looked from where I was sat to be an excellent save just after.

He will get it, albeit maybe temporarily, but we cant go on living in the hope of the opposition making mistakes.

We now need a sustained run of positive results and we are already half way through a really easy run of games. However we've already lost at Crewe and dropped 2 points at home to Oldham.

Out of the woods we certainly ain't, not by a long way, and I'm still on the fence with my opinion of SOD until I'm 100% convinced he can deliver something other than the general rubbish since he took over.
