pirate69 Very true, we have no worries - playing the likes of magotsfield & Sainsburys will surely enhance your slim hope of bouncing back to League 1
The writing is on the wall for you lot!! - you'll be battling with Palarse for 24th place - will calamity still be playing for you this year?
'morning banksy Yeah, good riposte from April....sharp girl...... I see you're spreading your entrepreneurial wings................... http://news.groupon.co.uk/c/mv
Some things never change. City still losing to lower league side We still walk the dogs on Ashton Vale, Banksy still likes boys ..... all is good then!
From what the report says it wasn't such a bad loss. We made some heavy substitutions in the second half and they pipped us at the end. Not a bad showing, but I'd be hoping for some improvement over the next few weeks. However, I would prefer it if we played somewhere a bit more adventurous! A lot of teams are off on American tours and it's a shame that we're not booking in some game time with the MLS clubs as they'd be a good challenge for our guys and would certainly help our scouting networks.
First game 22 players used bolasie and woolford played well, post hit 3 times! The purpose of these games to obtain match fitness and sharpness in time for the league to start, by all accounts a decent performance no injuries and a good work out in the sun! As for always loosing to a lower league side? the gas should try playing a fu***ng league side! Oh why do i bother, another season will go by the blue few will dwindle in numbers all 300 new sighnings will realise the home ground is nothing more than a knocking shop for an old whore called Irene, slowly but surely the gas will dissapear down the football pyramid into obscurity never to bother us again! in the same dream Maynard signs scores 45 goals we win the league, i win the euro millions and live happily ever after.
Banksy A newbie i am but it's so easy to reply to the sags, once again they will be all over any site that we use as they feel so inferior and rightly so. To all you sags out there enjoy league 2 as you are back playing where you belong Chris Givshead - you never learn do you.
Judging by the way you lot have responded with some of these posts there is a suggestion that you do care.
If I remember rightly we were pretty poor in our friendlies last season, so I can imagine a lot of fans will be worried if we keep losing to lower-league teams. Obviously, friendlies aren't a solid indicator on how a team will do in a season, but if we struggle to beat the likes of Charlton how will we manage against West Ham?
Firstly we lost to Charlton who may be a league lower than us, but are a league higher than Bristol Rovers!! More to the point, pre-season friendlies are about getting the team fit and prepared for the first league game. While of course everyone wants to win, it's not the end of the world. There are always unusal results as some clubs are further ahead in their fitness.
Not too worry, we always lose friendlies, it's not like we got relegated to league 2 or anything and buying a bunch of no namers nobody knows about.
"Oh but we're swapping places next year i can't wait for Bristol derbies" http://www.bristolrovers.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=240404
Phew....talk about knickers in a twist.....it's only pre-season!...thank gawd Maynard played ...imagine what it would be like without him! banksy.........sorry...try this.. http://www.banksytrading.co.uk/#
Stead looked dangerous for you lot as you say its only a friendly though we( charlton )made 11 changes at half time though with the heavy investment we`ve made this summer 11 new signings I`d expect charlton and city to be in the same div next season. Cant see BCFC going down can definately see BRFC going up and with Anyensa they have a 20 a goal season man in league 2 if he stays fit . He is a championship level player but injury prone.
