A game totally different to our previous game with WBA, but we expected a battle, we expected a harder game, and we got it.

First half saw us totally dominate and control Bristol City, we scored early on 9 minutes with a brilliant cross to Ayling by Alioski, then a good soft header by Ayling over to Bamford allowed Bamford to put one past the BC keeper.

1-0 up early in game and that's how it stayed till full time, but, we should've had 2 or 3 more goals throughout the game; the shooting boots seem to have been left in dressing room, or on team bus.

Second half was a different story, this was another game of 2 halves, but I think it was down to the fact BC were getting in our faces more and crowding our ability to play good passing football, BC weren't able to play their style of football either.

Neither team could get into a rhythm during second half, it was scrappy at times, hoofball at other times, and a scrap on ground to get the ball.

BC wasted a couple of opportunities to equalise, one player should've hit it first time, but didn't, another player could've lobbed Casillo, but didn't, such is the luck of the game.

Our defence held their positions well and kept BC at bay, we ran out 1-0 winners with a well earned 3 points from a game that had all the hallmarks of a war between 2 sides who had everything to play for.

10 games to go, wins are essential, draws are not in our favour unless the Blades draw or lose.

    Short highlights again lads.

Interesting that bielsa commented on the benefits of having a keeper that doesn’t make mistakes after a game where he made two glaring ones... the rush out of his goal in the first half they should have scored from and the no mans land positioning in the second where the guy again should have lobbed him and scored.

That’s not including the head in the face thing that another ref might have taken exception to.

If we’d lost 2-1 and he’d got himself sent off would bielsa have made the same comment?
