Derby County is encouraging fans to ‘Bring a Scarf’ to Monday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Queens Park Rangers at the iPro Stadium.

Derby County is encouraging fans to ‘Bring a Scarf’ to Monday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Queens Park Rangers at the iPro Stadium.

In what is a key game for Steve McClaren’s side at the top end of the Championship, the Club is calling on supporters to help raise the atmosphere for the clash with Harry Redknapp’s side - and help make home advantage count.

Derby currently sit fourth in the table and four points behind Rangers, who occupy third spot with just under three months of the season to play.

Tickets for the game are still available; starting from £20 for Adults, £14 for Senior Citizens and £11 for Under 18s.

Sky Sports have selected the match for live coverage and the Rams are determined to ensure they put on a show for the cameras, both on and off the pitch.

Supporters were asked to bring their scarves to the FA Cup Third Round tie with Chelsea earlier this year and the response from the crowd helped generate a tremendous atmosphere.

As a result, Derby are encouraging supporters to bring their black and white scarves to the QPR game, no matter what era it’s from in the club’s history, and help create a sea of black and white as the players emerge from the tunnel ahead of kick-off.

Derby County's Chief Operating Officer John Vicars said: “Once again the driver for this initiative has come from the fans via social media sites - and we’ve been keen to put it in place for the Queens Park Rangers game.

“Our fans know it’s a big game for us to close the gap on one of the sides sitting above us in the table and it’s great to see everyone is determined to create a positive atmosphere for the players.

"The iPro Stadium was rocking before the Chelsea game, which was brilliant, and to see so many fans waving their scarves in the air as the teams came out of the tunnel was a brilliant sight - so it would certainly be fantastic to see something similar next week in front of the Sky Sports TV cameras.”

A limited number of scarves are available from the DCFCMegastore and can be purchased during normal opening hours, or by visiting: dcfcmegastore.com.

The Club is also in support of fans wishing to bring flags to the match, provided they comply with the Club’s Health & Safety Regulations.

Flags will be permitted entry to the stadium providing they are on a rounded pole with rounded or rubber end pieces at the top and bottom.

Remember that game when we caned them 4 - 2 i think at Pride Park when they gave a free t-shirt on every seat? At the end of the game they had thrown most of them back on the pitch. We normally do well there

I remember it well. A Friday evening fixture. And yes there were tens of white t shirts littering the running track by the end.

The young Arsenal lad who was on loan scored a couple that night if I'm not mistaken.
