They were queuing up at the Chairboys treatment room on Tuesday morning with Sam Wood, Peter Murphy, Alfie Mawson and Max Kretzschmar joining Matt McClure, Tommy Fletcher, Aaron Holloway and long term absentee Gary Doherty on the treatment table lets hope Gaz has a magic wand up his sleeve. Next up for the Chairboys walking wounded is a trip along the A40 to Whaddon Road for what I hope is a seven a side game against the Robins as it looks like the only person sitting next to sub keeper and coach Barry Richardson will be Gareth Ainsworth. The good news is that Josh Scowen and Aaron Pierre are back from suspension and will start, who will be along side them is anyoneâs guess. Me and Slasher will be at this one and will be paying a visit to the loft to dig out our boots, with Gaz Baz, Slasher and me on the bench those Robins will be shaking on their bird feeders
Tricky one here, our first 11 will give anyone a game but will we get to see that again this season. Anyway I'm going to what will be my first game in many years so let's hope for a bit more football and less hoofball than Monday.
I had a 2 hour session on Wednesday so let me know if you need me on call. PS It was a football session........ with a real ball ................ on a real pitch
if all the potential injurys are injured our lineup could look like this ingram Jacobson pierre rowe jombati Ephraim bloomfield lewis scowen PCH hayes subs : Harrison craig (ainsworth?) its not a bad starting 11 all the same but the thin squad really is starting to show. If we can get through this one without any injurys its a result Also this must show just how poor nickey walker (not having his loan extended) and Nathan evans (not being recalled) really are if this scenario is deemed better
Can't play as he was taken to hospital with concussion and FA rules say he can't be picked. Hard on ?Wycombe but i understand why the law was brought in.
"The return to play guidelines say such testing should be carried out every 48 hours following an incident to assess the injury while a clinical assessment should be made daily, with a minimum period of six days in which time the player will be ineligible to return to play." Pierre was injured on a Saturday so presumably he was cleared after the mandatory 6 days.
I just read on the website that I have to get my ticket in advance, is that correct? I assumed I could just pick one up on the gate.
You can usually pay at the gate if you buy tickets from Wycombe I think they get a cut of your entrance money. If the away end is sold out the Wycombe website or Cheltenham one would tell you
No Wood,Mawson or Ephraim and just 4 subs but Ainsworth not one of them. Think a draw may be a good result today.
Crikey just about to tune in but always look at the score first and couldn't believe it. Good response to an early concession.
