We're hearing only bad news from Radio Rangers.

Smoke, smoke and more smoke and yesterday, Sir Neil smiling another smile of improbable optimism at the cameras. 'Fire? What fire?' he seemed to be saying as smothered the flames with that well worn prompt line of his: 'really looking forward to the start of the new season' or words to that effect.

Funny how the cameras didn't pick up on all those limos parked up outside LR... actually, not funny at all. If CernyBerny (or the rogue purporting to be the much vaunted soothsayer) is so in touch with what's going on behind the scenes, he needs to check his mobile 'cos his timing's clearly well out.

What's making more and more sense as we go along this arid and miserable road is that Jeffro was right, there are no takeover talks in the offing. If anything, the Mittals are biding their time and waiting for the idiot Goons' bubble to burst. Why pay their grossly inflated price... why not wait till peppercorn calls the tune and pick the club up for a pittance?

Meantime, a message to CernyBerny or whoever currently hides behind that name, you're fanning the flames of close season disasters and in so doing inflaming the fans.

Your cred's on the chopping block mate.

Take my advice, if you ever think of joining this board for real, do us all a favour, choose a new user name and leave the Mystic Meg stuff back on the old 606.

Anyone think I'm jumping the gun or being a bit harsh?

I heard about the Limo's and the Arabs as well. Thinking about it, it could have been that they were there to discuss sponsorship rather than a takeover. We are still without a sponsor remember and it could have been further negotiations with Gulf Air or the like. Got a feeling that this was the case and the takeover rumours are rubbish!

Plus I like Cerny Berny. He was right a lot last year on BBC 606 and at least gives me some hope that this year wont turn out to be as bad as I fear...

But was it the same CernyBerny who wound us all up a couple of weeks ago?

I await CernyBerny's latest behind the scene exclusive: "New Glade Air Freshener for the Ellerslie Road kharzis", but he can't tell us the fragrance just yet, as there are still 'i's to be dotted and 't's crossed...

whilst I always read the comments on here, I also read the news papers...yet don't believe everything I read.

My own view is that if Cerny wants to post I will read. I also have a feeling that the club will be sold at some stage. Its obvious those in charge don't give a two bob bit otherwise we would not have members of the supporters club resigning, and, for all we know, Cerny's sauce is feeding him half truths.

The observation that the limos were there for sponsors and not cameras.........personally I wouldn't leav a moped outside of LR! I would have thought that discression would have played more of a part.

We are all wound up by the "What's going on" at our club. One thing that does worry me, If the club thinks that everything is ok and everyone is singing from the same hymsheet why the need to release the earlier statement this week regarding NW resigning?

The clubs in a mess although the removal of the legion of goons from their offices would certainly (and not guaranteed) bring a little bit of peace and harmony

Cheers Brixton. I think you can guess which running-dogs the Tooting Popular Front would like to have lined up against the wall with their last cigarettes...

They were probably contacted by every media person in the country asking if it were true and decided to knock it on the head straight away. Rumours about some player or other possibly being signed don't matter too much, but in the light of what Stephen Fry's fat uncle Barry said about the reason Mackeral-Smith didn't sign was because NW couldn't guarrantee being at LR for the beginning of the season, it had to be quashed - in case other possible signings believed it.

Who cares? Its all a load of cobblers and I don't know why any of you pin your hopes on the ITK's anyway? You're all vaguely sensible people so why slavishly follow any old crap touted by anyone here.

Unless its on the offish believe nothing.

    Simple.

Now what do you reckon, Haddock chips and a pickled gherkin or a chicken tikka balti & a peshwari nan???

If you're buying could you get me a Large cod and chips, hold the mushy peas, and could you stretch to a can of Fanta? I'm driving later.

We need SOMETHING to happen to give us some clarity. A new signing, takeover, Warno definitely in, or out - something. It's too quiet and for the Champions to go up with intentions of staying up, it should be as 'noisy' as hell !!!!!

To answer one of your original questions, Brixton, I think you are being a tad harsh. Has CernyBerny actually claimed to be one of the Witches of Stygian, or is that an accolade put on him by others?

I understand that he has a good track record, let’s see what the future holds and then pass judgement with a clarity of hindsight. Now, where is that black hat?

'A tad harsh', said one hungry lion (called Roller) to another who'd just bitten the keeper's hand off at feeding time.

'I know', came the reply, 'thought he was offering a bit meat!'. Sorry CernyB!

Don't think it's the original CernyBerny. This one is a Mysteron replacement.
