Now we've had all sorts of comments on here. The two key points that everyone shares is goalkeeper and defence.....Knudsen appears to not be hugely popular either. Without a win in 7, now unbeaten in 5, strange strange times. Seasons been written off by one, apparently no hope after 17 games and just 3 points off the play off zone. Now what's clear to me is 4/5 are there to stay. Hull + Burnley have parachute ££££... kept well, reinvested. Derby are spending £££££ manager on a fortune etc, Boro were up there last season. Brighton the surprise package, hanging in there well though so far.... So where does that leave us? Well 6th is as much use as 5th. We also have a nice 4 point gap over 12th Fulham at the minute, which is helpful. We've only lost 4, however have clearly drawn way too many - especially at H. Wolves/ City/ Hudds all spring to mind. Just thought I'd deviate slightly before thoughts on the game. Charlton looks a fixture we can take all three points from. Look in a right mess, however did beat Sheff Weds 3-1 which is a good result looking at the table. Thoughts?
Oh and i dont think we will finish in top 8 but not saying the season is deffo over like Warky, saying that, i dont have faith in our manager to change things. I have faith in the squad and think we have players good enough to get us into top 6, just think dinosaur dan is too stuborn to make the few changes that are needed!!
4-1 Town Murph, Douglas, Sears, Gerken ( freak hoof ball carried by the wind deceiving the keeper), Knudson OG
I'm going to plump for 1-1. We don't lose many ( 4 ) but do appear to be the draw specialists ( annoyingly ) Charlton have Vaz Te on a free I see.
I'll be joining the after match discussion late tomorrow. BeIn Sports always shows the saturday lunchtime championship game so instead of getting up at 04:30 I'll be recording it, getting up at my leisure and watching it in glorious HD after my wife takes the boy to the gym with her. Here's hoping for some entertainment and a good result
Gonna throw it out there - lets say we DO draw, Brum lose at Brighton, Reading draw at Forest, and Wendy draw, are people going to go mental and call it a bad point? While Charlton away does look a good chance to get 3 points, they have just beaten Sheff Weds H and Brum away. It's not an absolute gimme. Spanish I'll be very interested re what happens when HOPEFULLY Bish/ Fraser/ McGoldrick are fully fit. Fraser has been a massive loss, absolutely class.
Let's hope we don't have to chase the game, very poor bench from an offensive point. Only Oar on the bench that can create.
Do not like the likes of Niles for Bru - especially with the front 3 we have, though how we juggle the front 4 will be interesting. The " defence " is unlikely to keep a clean sheet, so will need to score at least 2 to win. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/charlton-v-ipswich/winner All the £££££ on Charlton, our odds lengthening. Moronic approach but often bang on. Sadly.
YESSSSSSSS Might be a record for the longest time a ball stayed off the ground before a goal was scored Murphy!!
So far soooo good, they are poor imo, still hate our 2 fullbacks, amn not very impressive but the others are playing well. Our forwards causing them probs, thank god and credit to Gerks, playing well!! Would like to see Oar replace Amn! Great fight but little skill, still we are winning!!
