After our exploits at Brighton, we go in search of a club record 6 straight away win on the spin. As it transpires, without that moment at Forest we would have it - but we can play " If " until the cows come home. Personally, think we're a bit unlucky regarding this fixture due to the following- * Two away on the spin * Burnley having two home on the spin and an extra days rest * Also we put everything into Brighton, whereas they won 4-0 and probably on energy saving from around 55 onwards. Managers aren't stupid! Massive having Fraser back, god him and Sears were electric at times vs Brighton. Hope they both start they we'll chaos absolute chaos on the break. We've a decent record at Burnley over the years - anyone remember parachute gate when the game was delayed and we won 3-0? We lost 2-0 in Burnley's promotion year I believe. They have a talented squad, top scorer in the league ( Only cost a tiny £9 mill.... ) George Boyd plus others. For what it's worth, I think due to bullet points a narrow loss may happen. Put it this way, I'd snap your hand off for a point in this fixture. Clearly I want the 3, but in a round about way it's a free game now we're 4 ahead of Wendy. Burnley 2 Ipswich 1 I believe, clearly not what I want, but just my feeling. Thoughts?
I predicted 4 points from this and Brighton game, so I'll say 1-1. I hope our extra fatigue won't be too much of a problem and we can get that record breaking win! COYB!!!
Unfortunately I think we could get tonked, if my memory serves me well, we rarely do well in this fixture (first gave of the new year) plus I think Burnley will go on a good run now. I'd also happily take a draw, but think it'll be 3-0 or 4-1
I would take a point right now but lets see how we line up for this one, the longer its goalless the better I fancy our chances.
I think Niles is still out injured, but could be wrong. Hopefully Fraser and Bru to start. I think if we go about this in the same positive manner as Brighton game I can't see us getting tonked.
Arguably the toughest game for weeks. But we are in good form. Agree with others, will settle for a point. I too predicted 4pts from these 2 fixtures. If Fraser, Freddie and Murph get at 'em first 15, get that vital 1st goal....and MM keeps similar shape and does NOT retreat into old defensive shell, a point is there for the taking. Or, a right old tonking! Cant wait for this one - audio for me out here. COYBs
1-1. Sears to get the goal. And I'd take a point, despite our impressive away form. Tricky fixture this, on paper.
Delighted with Town's form over the last month or so, tough today, but believe they are well capable of taking at least a point this afternoon. COME ON Boys!
Hope so! MASSIVE first goal - would have liked to have streamed this via video however have got a radio stream at least so that will have to suffice! Sounds like a nasty injury for Berra with the game stopping, Andre Gray also down. We've had two corners to Burnley's zero, they are certainly having a spell at the minute.
