BR is doing as well as Rafa was after 6 months in the job IMO, who also made many mistakes early on throughout his LFC career, however he was our best manager since the mid 80's too IMO, of course that will be impossible for BR to match RB after 12 months as we arnt in the CL

  5. I wanted Rafa back in the summer but we got Rodgers. He needs to be given time, he's doing alright and as D's as said above, it isn't too dissimilar to Rafa's first season really, remember he finished fifth in his first season with less competitive opponents too. We certainly don't want to be changing manager anytime soon unless we absolutely have to, which I don't think we do, far from it.

Rodgers could win the Europa League though <whistle>

think Rodgers needs to be given a bit of time, like the look of how things are shaping up but need to find the consistency.

if after a couple of seasons we are still not going forwards then def if available want Rafa back.

dont think its the fans who need convincing though, i am still baffled why Rafa wasn't even an option for the job before Rodgers got it, the owners are obviously getting advice from someone who seriously doesn't like Rafa or we are going the cheapskate route and Rafa would have wanted funds to spend.

TBH I'm kinda glad Rafa isn't in charge. he was good and all but we need to move forwards and with Rafa in charge I can't see that happening. I honestly think we are going forwards for the first time since 2009 - ok we're in our worst league position since 2009 but you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs. I can honestly see what we're trying to do and I believe that in 2-3 seasons time we'll be back amoungst the best of them

The fans wanted Kenny and it didn't end to well. I guess FSG wanted to avoid another sentimental appointment (even though sentiment aside, Rafa was the best candidate).

We didnt get Rafa, we got Rodgers. I fully trust Rodgers to get us back to where we need to be.

This year was always going to be difficult as we lost a lot of experienced players in the summer (Maxi, Bellamy and Kuyt), the squad is full of players simply not good enough i.e. Adam, Downing, Carroll, Cole, Henderson (Hendo will be good but not top 4 quality yet), and we had to cut some our costs due to no CL revenue.

I believe this year was always going to be tight in terms of finances because of the expensive mistakes we made. I feel we have gotten through the worst of it now and we will see more spending in the next few years.

Some people think that FSG are tight but they happily spent £35m on Carroll (Yes, we received £50m for Torres but they could have easily pocketed the cash), £36m on Downing and Henderon and another £8m on Adam. That's a hell of a lot of money to spend in quite a short space of time.

I have faith that we have right people at the club and the right owners. We are making mistakes and we will continue to do so but I think we're heading in the right direction.

can't disagree at this point even though i should on the grounds he lost it totally for us at the end.

rodgers is actually underperforming at this point... we have to call it

Rafa had far more in his record to justify belief. Rodgers has nothing. And we're getting what was advertised.

But it won't happen because FSG wouldn't bring back another old manager after screwing up royally by sacking the last one.

BR seems a nice bloke but he'll never be a Liverpool manager IMO, i wanted Rafa back pre-season but this going backwards thing isn't good, the problem with BR is he isn't going to attract any top talent, not that we can afford it or who would want to come to us with no CL, you need a known manager to players in Europe who without CL would still give us a chance.....Laudrup, and bring Michu with you please, ML is known throughout football as a great player, unfortunately were never going to get him, so were gonna plod along for the rest of the season and when we finish top 8 FSG will pat BR on the back for a great season!!!

I think is a reason to bring in an experienced Sporting Director - someone who can add experience and can help attract the big names.

I think it all went down for Rafa after he grew that Goatee!

I still think he will play a role in the club at some point down the line, not for awhile I don't think though.

FSG will NEVER employ Rafa, he complains when the owners dont show him the money, FSG wouldnt accept that
