Someone commented on the original website saying that every club would do the same. He's a CFC fan. He supports this by mentioning LFC.

So, because LFC did it that means clubs always do it? There have been plenty of clubs who have either dropped players from the first team or internally fined their players for bad behaviour. Players have even been sold on this basis.

So my message to him and other people who agree with him is that no, not every club would do that.

I have to say that, surprisingly, the FA did really well.

Despite being slightly tied by the court case's verdict, they applied common sense to the situation.

Terry isn't a racist per se but has something there that can bubble up to the service under provocation.

He should have held his hands up at the time rather than using the Steven Gerrard defence - using your mates to help you slime out of the situation you created.

Anton wanted to put JT off his game and did so but found himself on the wrong end of it when Terry had no comeback had to resort to name calling - moral is to be careful what you wish for because even a cornered animal will come out fighting.

Cole is probably the worst of the lot because his testimony was in cold blood.

England will do better looking forward rather than relying on the anti-role model and Cole simply isn't as good as Baines and so it should be curtains for him irrespective of politics.

That's my final word on the most excessively drawn out saga.

I've lived long enough to see Juventus, Milan, Lazio, Man U and Leeds go down in disgrace. Only a matter of time before The Scum go down again (hopefully for corruption).

I remember 50 years ago at the cinema when pretty girls used to serve up treats at the front of the circle & stalls, the choc ice used to be my favourite.

interesting to hear that Cole changed his evidence from not hearing anything 5 days after the incident, but on cfc's advice changed to say he did hear anton say it which would back up JT's claim he was repeating...stinks of something

the court also said if they knew this they would have viewed coles evidence differently

It's a bit unfair to say that Chelsea is rotten to the core. There was a good piece in TalkSport this morning where Saggers was saying what a shame it was that the good people in the club are having their name besmirched by the impropriety that's going on at the moment. Abramovich has had nothing to say on the matter. Di Matteo has disappointed. Cole's apology was written in language that he's not even capable of. That's the good people behind the scenes trying to make right.

Those that say "let's move on", though, are right.

On the subject of fish, I recall many years ago my history professor made the analogy - "fish is like the Chinese economy - delicate and easily overcooked". A bit like us at QPR?

I'm merely saying, Imaz, that it does not appear reasonable to me to assume everybody working for Chelsea Football Club is rotten. As with most organisations and institutions, it is those in positions of power and influence that tar the good people about them (usually below them, in fact) with that brush.

I agree with every word of that Matt, apart from the bit about Baines being better than Cole. Cole is, without doubt, a thick, aggorant, annoying little twat. But he also happens to be one of the very few world class players England have and probably still one of the best left backs in the world. Baines is an excellent full back and would have had many England caps if he hadn't been around at the same time as Cole.

Of course. Abramovich is far worse than Terry or Cashley. I would say more but obviously cannot.

Bit unfair, Flyer. I'm sure there are many that work for people whom they cannot stomach and who's methods are at best questionable. We're not exactly enjoying a climate within which anyone can say, "stuff that for a game of soldiers", and simply walk into another job for similar pay.

    How's Fareham?
