    Brian's Predictions League 2025/26

    Rules and Postings Thread
Well the new season is only 2 weeks away and here we are again for another session of wondering why teams don't do what they are supposed to do.

A couple of observations from last season - the joker cannot be played on the Watford fixture but on one of the other 9. There are ten fixtures for each round (anyone tipping more than that and only the first 10 will be counted).

The scoring is the same as last year ie.
10 points automatically for remembering to tip a round.
3 points for a home win eg. you tip 2-1 and it is 3-0 (ie. right result but wrong scoreline and score difference)
5 points for an away win eg. 0-2 against 1-2
4 points for a draw eg. 1-1 against 0-0 (plus 5 bonus points for the right goal difference)
in all matches 5 points bonus is there for the right goal difference eg. 2-0 against 3-1

Get a scoreline spot on and it earns 25 points.

Whatever you score on Watford matches and on the match where you placed your joker is doubled.

There is also a bonus of 10 points for a unique scoreline eg. you tip a scoreline exactly and are the only one to do so.

So the maximum scoreline possible is 70 on one match.

There is also a 50 point bonus for any poster who scores points on all of the 10 matches in any one round (this hasn't happened yet - 9 is the most I can remember)

Just a remind that our current champion is Hackneyhornet.

Also a note to any newbies coming on here - my name isn't Brian ! This is an honorary title in memory of a valued poster.
