hi gasheads, those who visit the our OS forum will be already aware of what our director to the fans - brian seymour-smith has been up to representing us - the fans.

those who dont know, well i will fill you in now.

he has set up a facebook page called: Bristol Rovers FC’s Supporters Club Directors: Let’s Hear the Fans’ Ideas
he wants gasheads to put down any ideas to move this club forward off the pitch, to gain more fans, and improve things for existing fans and to help get the club progressing in other areas like merchandise for example.
i have read this facebook page that has been set up. i advise you to do the same when you have chance. brian seymour-smith and the board are taking this seriously as we need to progress in all areas. to view the page you need a facebook account to be able to see all the suggestions and i have to say there are some cracking comments/ideas on there. he will be collating all suggestions and put it into a weekly summary and they will be submitted to the board of directors at board meetings and he will then update the facebook page and OS forum with replies from the board on the ideas put to them.

after this new initiative started, brian seymour-smith posted an update http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.ph...as/page__p__140057__fromsearch__1#entry140057
and today we have heard some feedback from the board on some of the issues and ideas raised (its a good read) http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.ph...te/page__p__143302__fromsearch__1#entry143302

how many times have we said the communication from the board to the fans have been poor? well finally something is being done about it. BSS has been on the OS forum for other issues as well informing us off other matters as well when he can. we have a voice for the fans at last.

if you have any ideas/comments that you want taken to the board to improve your matchday experience or ways you think the club can benefit in anyway then get on that facebook page. i suggest reading whats on there before posting your idea as it may have already been stated. if you dont have facebook you can still post your idea on the links above from BSS and that will get added to the list.

what i will do for those who dont use the OS forum, i will include on here any updates from BSS. you never know, any changes may effect you! <ok>

lets get our club progressing off the pitch to help our club on the pitch :)

Most of the ideals that are being brought up looks to be for the new stadium i.e, Hall of Fame, cash point, player statues.
Though I think this is great to be able to communicate to the club, well done BSS and the Directors <applause>

BSS has been a breath of fresh air. With the new stadium on the way (hopefully!) it is important to get the fans on the right wave length as well so starting early is a good idea. Get some small things sorted out, and they will go a long way to making the fans happy again!

i thought this was interesting from BSS....

what do you think this means?

as he still works for sky sports, do you think we may get some more opportunities from them?

I saw that BSS stood on the terraces behind the away 'dug out' on Saturday. Fair play.

You're easily pleased Gastro. I suppose you'd best go off and support Greggs Utd.
