    Lenihan's Blackpool Loan Cut Short By Injury

    Irish defender sidelined for six weeks....

    Brian Lenihan’s loan spell at Blackpool has been cut short due to injury.

    The Irish defender was due to stay with the Bloomfield Road club until the middle of next month, but a damaged patella tendon has seen him return to the KC Stadium for treatment with the 20-year-old expected to be sidelined for six weeks.

    Lenihan made two appearances for Blackpool and helped them to a 1-1 draw with Bolton last weekend.

    The way the Blackpool web site was worded it doesn't sound as if they want to extend his loan period.

    Lee Clark has contacted Brucey and says he'd like to resume Lenihan's loan once he's fit again.

    See having back up like him, Mcguire, Mcshane and Bruce suggest to me that we really can and probably should cash in on Curtis if the supposed interest is there.

    Lenihan is a full back and none of the others are anywhere near as good as Davies, who'll be in our starting XI against the league leaders tomorrow.
