Well, what do you think? After his disgraceful dismissal by the FAW he's at a loose end. Imagine the input and the coaching he could give our youngsters. They would be brought up totally immersed in the footballing ethic we so love and I really think Flynn could do a job for us.

He could be appointed as the overlord of all football below the first team, in other words not a "Mickey Mouse" position and he just might fancy the kudos of being with a Premier League club. Last but not least, he would be a really experienced head that Buck could turn to when needed. We could do worse.

    What a great shout Ivor.

We need to invest our new found wealth on new training facilities and a youth academy.
Who better to run the youth academy?
Flynny is a Port Talbot boy, an ex-manager, extaordinarily successful Wales U-21 manager and must have lots of contacts in the game still from his days as a player at Man U and Leeds. He's perfect to run our youth academy and recruit boys from further afield as well as Wales (he must know hundreds of young boys with potential who haven't made it).
    Really hope this happens.

I don't think director of football, But i am sure there must be a position for head of the academy or something like that. The work he has done with Wales younsters has been fantastic. He could do well bringing on our youngsters. There is no shape to the youth set up at the moment. (seen it first hand)

But wasnt the issue last time he was here in that he wasnt prepared to move to the area. would need to be here all the time for it to work.

I'd take him on tomorrow. Focusing on the youth but working with all the coaches get a good old fashioned boot room going

Good shout. Knows the Club well and he's earned a crack at it after doing so well with Wales.

Well if there's anyone with an ounce of intelligence at the Liberty, they'll snap him up as Head of our Academy, what a signing that would be! Come on Jenkins, who dares wins, get in there son......................<cheers>

Flynn would be the ideal man for us but like that has mentioned he would not move his family here last time, unless he can now move into the area then it might be a non starter. Could he go back to wrexham that are close to rejoining the football league if they win the playoffs. I dont know but i would love him with us.....

It could be a good move for us ,anybody know the reason behind his sacking ??

Flynn would make a good chief scout or coach but where does that leave the current staff ??

I must ask this question, would you have Gary Monk/Alan tate heading up the acadamy or Brian Flynn ?

I would go for flynn,he always had an eye for a good player and has proved with the u-21's that he can put his own mark on things <ok>

Flynn not living here was a big problem when he was manager, also not traveling to and from some games with the players . Not sure how high he is regarded by Huw and the board ,anyone know?

Logistics aside, he would be a good addition to the team. Has experience working with Curtis and young players.

He hasn't been sacked from the Wales setup that I can see, his contract ends in may and either it's not being renewed or he's walked. Think he would be a good shout for us, but just can't see it to be honest, going from manager to something less with us doesn't fit. Think he's got something else in mind.
