I agree with Danny, if they get a result tonight they will make it, and if they do I would thing they will win it, as they will be the form team going into it. Fair play to them, I like John Ward and thought when he took over they would end up at least top half table.

Could end up being the season from hell for us, we get relegated, they win the playoffs and Caardiff go up.

 

...and GJ takes our place with Yeovil!

 

Pleasure to read this thread. Sometimes the banter etc gets a bit tedious.

 

I don't think we'll reach the play off places but still been a good end to the season all things considered.

 

Considering where they were before Christmas it will be a great season for them if they end up disappointed not to be in the play offs. Personally I don't mind, If they get promoted then we can have the derbies back, If not then there still a division below us.

 

versus Bradford is the first of 2 pivotal moments win it and it is on! The other 2 games could be fly traps but on paper do able

 

We need to beat both Bradford and Southend who are both challanging for playoffs as well. In fact, we just need to win all our remaining games. Not likely, even if we are doing well right now.

There are four teams with a decent mathematical chance of making the last play off place in Div 4; Chesterfield. Bradford, Exeter and Rovers. Difficult to tell what may happen, but their chances are probably ranked in the above order, taking current form and current position into consideration. The games where the top teams meet should be considered as 2 or 3 points to be lost and there are a few of those to come. We will have a clearer picture on Saturday night.
IMO the chances for Rovers reaching the playoffs are only very, very slightly better than those of City to avoid the drop.
Looks inevitable that there will be no local derby next season.
