There are those who have a liking for Trump. I'm not going to try and stop you admiring the guy but please don't jump on the "I'm hard done to everybody hates me" bandwagon. Most of the issues he has he has brought on himself. He appears, but before anybody says otherwise I cannot confirm as I don't work there, to fill the White house with people who say "Yes Mr Trump, how high Mr Trump" my experience of management and business is that this strategy comes with a price. Objectivity, agility and progressive thinking to name a few. It's great to have somebody say "why do we do this or that" it makes you explain and rationalise things that perhaps something that may never have happened does, an improvement, a step change.

Trump clearly isn't my cup of tea but I don't go around calling people just because they rate him. I admit I don't understand why they do but there you go each to their own and it would be a sad world if we all liked the same thing etc.

As for there not being articles about his failing before he started to run for president, I thought we had done that but as another observation it is impossible to find articles about him being a poor president, 260,000 Americans dying on his watch, before 2015 for obvious reasons.

With leadership comes responsibility. I'm not able to say it was or wasn't his fault but the simple fact is these things happened while he was President and by definition responsible.
