The Wall Street Journal - wasn’t this ‘toilet paper’ when you didn’t agree with the content. I actually don’t doubt that his demeanour and background has ruffled some feathers - I’m fine with straight talkers, I don’t mind his abrasive manner. I’m sure the establishment might benefit from a bit of a shake up every now and then.... It’s the fact that he’s such a fcking tool.
[QUOTE="OLOF, post: 14306704, member: 1000915" They love boozing with me[/QUOT Maybe they're just short of friends?
To be honest it's more what he hasn't done. 1. Inaction leading to the avoidable death of nearly ¼ million Americans 2. Abdication from the foreign policies employed by US for decades 3. Unilateral withdrawal from international trade agreements 4. Abandonment of climate change mitigation policies 5. Lack of integrity and honesty Is he the worst? These things are usually judged from a historical perspective and by people who can compare eggs with eggs. The General consensus appears to be the Lincoln was the best US president. Trump if he had to be judged is considered to be to the lower end of the ranking, if not the lowest. That will obviously be reviewed as he becomes more and more of an ex-president. Hate is a very strong word to use. I don't hate him I would, if I had the opportunity, not vote for him but hate......nah that requires feelings and I don't have any for him.
I agree best worst - hard to say and what to judge them by on a comparative basis. Generally I would assess any leader by their ability to deal with adversity and crisis. Mr Trump doesn't come out well on that basis, in my opinion.
From an American news source, but I suspect you'll claim it is fake, but at least they know more about America than me. https://www.usnews.com/news/special...ts/articles/ranking-americas-worst-presidents
I assess leaders by their principles, putting their country first. Making it about the people not themselves. Nobody knows putting the people first like donny does.
I love the accent, He's american and is entitled to his opinion, not like the rest of the world who seem to hate trump but are totally clueless to what he has done or how life really is in the USofA. As OLOF stated earlier about asking his beer buds why they hate trump, I have done the same allways the same response, er because, er he's an asshole etc.
Yep...isn’t that generally why people dislike other people este? Do I need to be personally subjected to his fiscal policy to conclude that he’s a prick?
Maybe, but as you just cherry pick stuff from the press without ever even knowing the guy, or lived in the country he is president of, go ahead judge everyone that way.
I don't really care about his politics, neither one thing nor the other to me, it's just that his personal performance on the world stage was incredibley bad. The man lacked any of the grace or statesmanship one expects of a leader in any country. I don't like Putin's politics, but at least he knows how to behave in public. Like wise Merkel, Macron or even Boris (to an extent!). Better qualified people than I have questioned his mental state and some have even gone so far as to warn of the possibilities of the danger he puts his country to. No, I can see that he did a lot of good for the US 'specially their economy (be fair, Hitler pulled Germany up by it's bootlaces, built an amazing road system and made the trains run on time before he went doo-lally and the 3.30 from Berlin to Auschwitz was always on time). And when he isn't smelling little girl's hair, Biden has a much more acceptable presence, but what sort of President he will make remains to be seen, if ever.
He’s the president of the US - I don’t need to cherry pick, I get to see him on the tv regularly, I can read direct quotes from him. Yes I know they’re all edited to make him look bad by the MSM. Whether his policies and decision-making have been good or bad for the country? Well economists and political journalists will argue over that retrospectively. Like Brissy, I’m commenting on the man, not his legacy as president. I didn’t live in Germany during the war, but I have an opinion on hitler. I never lived in a cave in Afghanistan but I have an opinion on osama bin laden... and no, I’m not comparing him to either. Fine you disagree bud... all just opinions.
