At this very point twelve months ago, we were preparing for the visit of West Brom, knowing that a top nine finish was guaranteed, and not having a care in the World - How things can change in a year! Leeds drew the reverse fixture (with Brentford) 2-2 back in December. A rare Tyler Roberts strike was cancelled out by Shandon Baptiste, ten minutes into the second half. Brentford then took the lead five minutes later through Sergi Canos. Bamford was bought on with twenty minutes left. He scored an equaliser in the dying seconds of injury time to nick a point, then re-injured himself with the goal celebration. This was also the game where Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper sustained their injuries which would see them both sidelined for nearly four months Leeds will be without the services of Stuart Dallas (broken leg), Adam Forshaw (fractured knee cap), Luke Ayling (suspended), Daniel James (suspended), Crysencio Summerville (Ankle) and Tyler Roberts (hamstring). The Premier Injuries website rate Patrick Bamford as 50/50. Several articles are suggesting that Jesse Marsch needs to gamble on Bamford, whether he's fit or not. This would be harsh on Gelhardt who showed immense skill to set up the last gasp equaliser. Ethan Pinnock (Thigh), Mathias Jorgensen (Groin) and Saman Ghoddos (Ankle) are ruled out for the Bees. Frank Onyeka (Foot) faces a late fitness test.
Police expecting trouble regardless of outcome, they've up the number on duty from the normal 100 to 800, are we still really that bad ?
We’ll be one down within fifteen minutes. That’s pretty much guaranteed. All about how we respond to that then
That's exactly how I see it. We will start nervously and concede from something stupid early doors. Then huff and puff for the rest of the game hoping that something sticks at some point. I also think Burnley getting a point at Villa changes the dynamic of their game against Newcastle. I fancied Newcastle to win IF Burnley lost at Villa. I think Burnley have been given hope now and I expect them to win.
4 games in Landan town on sunday all kick off at the same time. Leeds, Brentford, Arsenal, Everton, Palace, Scum, Chelsea, Watford. Last games of the season, the met might be busy!
Bring it on and let’s get this over with. I remember laughing at Villa a couple or so seasons back, they avoided relegation on the last day and they were celebrating like they’d won the champions league, I thought how sad, is that what they’ve become, celebrating 17th…. I wish I’d not laughed now. When we had Bielsa I always felt the team could pull off that one game miracle when the chips were down, I don’t under Marsch and with the suspensions and injuries it’s going to be super tough Saying all that, I think we’ll win and Burnley will draw so I’m going 2-0 Leeds
I wasn't expecting anything at all to be honest and couldn't understand why until I saw the media mentioning Bournemouth. At the moment I am resigned to going down and was expecting it like our relegation at Derby was with gallows humour about invading the pitch.
I'd take that score and us staying up however unlikely it feels at the moment. As always in football, it's never over until it's over. At least we will know one way or another on Sunday.
I think we're a different animal to Bournemouth and think 800 police is overkill. Expect nothing to happen, yet plod patting themselves on the back for diffusing the situation, even though nothing but a few isolated incidents were going to happen anyway.
I suppose there may be fans there without tickets but I feel with us back in the bottom three it may have made some think twice? Who knows but expecting things to be okay.
There's definitely going to be a good few going without tickets, infact I believe some have gone tonight but as long as the police react in the right way and let us have a few pubs then all will be OK.
Not looking good. Nothing else to say, just going to sit with my fingers in my ears until it’s all over. Any results are possible but balance of probability is we are going down
I’ll be gutted if we win and so do Burnley, if Burnley fail to take three points and we lose then it’s our own fault, I’ll be gutted and angry. Everton players have shown how to dig deep, our players need to do the same
