    The club has always said that they want to set an example of how to run a club...if you do that, you get followers. Doesn't surprise me that a club should choose to do so...perhaps with a twist of their own. Will take a while though because we already had some structure in place...another team starting from scratch will have tears before bedtime, but good luck to them.

    P.s. Saints have already shown willing to help other clubs by giving them a looksie....I suspect we will be willing to speak to Brentford.

    FLT and I earlier exchanged a view or two about Nigel Adkins, and I mentioned that Brentford would be a good club for Nigel to go to. I think it might be good for Brentford too. Nigel would know exactly what Brentford want from him and he would be perfectly capable of taking them to the next level. Might not have to wait until the end of the season.

    Everybody wants to copy us.

    Tottenham Hotspur FC even want to be us.

    They took our manager, they took our recruitment guy, they even play as we used to, they tried to get our players and their fans even copy us by singing our song.

    All that shows is a total lack of imagination and originality.

    They'll be wearing red and white stripes next - Brentford already do!

    Just imagine the time when every team is a clone of SFC even down to the shirts and the song.

    Copying is lazy and demonstrates an inability to find your own solutions and in the long run lets you down.

    You can't stand still in football management and by the time the others catch up we will have moved on.

    Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? This shows just how far we have come as a club and another great compliment in an ever growing list of admirers.

    Always like Brentford, for three reasons;

    1) Red n White stripes
    2) They're tucked away in the ****ty end of West London, far from the glamour of Fulham and Chelsea, and immune to the gentrification of Shepherds Bush/White City.
    3) There is a pub at every corner of the ground.

    But they'll be needing a new ground before they're ready for the "next step". And sacking Warburton doesn't seem to make any sense to me, because they won't be replacing him with Pochettino (though I'd love it if they did!).

    I think Warburton 'sacked' himself as he didn't want to work under the 'new' system. He said himself that he gets on well with the Chairman and will finish the season doing his best.

    My mate worked at Brentford on the youth/education side, not that long ago either. Let's just say that they will need to have changed 180 degrees if they want to emulate us... especially the selection process of kids.

    They are getting a new stadium for that next step. I think it's too small, but perhaps not for the TV era: http://www.brentfordfc.co.uk/news/a...onelk-road-development-agreement-2161784.aspx
