With both sides not only starting this season's campaign extremely slowly, but looking like mere shadows of the sides that finished last season (although, to be fair, 'Pool have always been pretty ****e), Rodgers and Mourhino are bound to come under intense pressure, with dismissal beckoning among the bells and twinkling lights of Christmas. Which one do you think will be the first to go? My money has always been on Rodgers. In fact, I am aghast that he has managed to cling on to a job for so long! But, then again, I never expected the Smug One to be so ****e, this early on! I think it's now a very tough call, as to which one will be the first to get the bullet. I think the Yanks are far more patient than the mad Russian mafiosi, but then Rodgers has been ****ing things up for 'Pool over a longer period of time. My money, therefore, is still on Rodgers to get sacked first. What do you guys think? NB: I need not add that this is a non-wumming thread.
Jose will be the first to go IMO. The project of last season is looking a bit faded now.. Mad Dog is not known for being too patient. I reckon before the end of November or gone by Christmas.
i have voted for Brenda as he will get sacked first but i do see Jose maybe walking away in a strop/meltdown
On a serious note, I think both teams are missing their traditional England stalwarts. Mourinho could always rely on the likes of Lampard and Terry to push those around them to maintain that home record. Liverpool could depend on Gerrard and Carragher at their peak to lift the team. Maybe that's what's lacking with these clubs at the moment.
Indeed, Treble. Wenger used to have Adams and Dixon to do his dirty work for him. That was back in Arsenal's short-lived "glory" days, of course.
In what you describe as Arsenal's short-lived "glory" days Arsene Wenger managed to win more championships than your beloved Spurs have in their entire history
You're forgetting double winner Sol Campbell, also part of the invincibles team who won the league at White Hart Lane
I reckon Brenda will get sacked before the season is out, but Maureen will hang on to the bitter end and then leave the Chavs in disarray at the end of the season
would like to say Poch. But he's started in the same vein as last. That will be good to reach 6th or 7th for Spuds. But Brendan will be first to let go and Jose may beat him, by doing another 'Mutual consent'! remember no body fires Jose, ever!!
**** knows how the mad Russian does it but he got him to leave without having to pay him off. Amazing.
