I heard that Chelsea are in for Brendan and that Martinez will resign in order to come back to his beloved Swansea. Some dreams are so strange! It's not impossible though, is it?
Not in my worst nightmare , Why would Abramovich risk another inexperienced manager and why should we take Martinez back , no sense in this thread I'm afraid
Dream? Nightmare if you ask me!! Rodgers is going nowhere,he jumped too early once before and got burnt, as long as the club are prepared to back him then there will be no problem, bobby brown shoes will end up back in spain.
Mourhino is done at Madrid at the end of the season. Barring some catastrophe in form he should win La Liga and possibly the Champions League although they have yet to beat Barca this season, which could yet prove their undoing in the Champions League. Would Mourhino go back to Chelsea? I'd bet on him before Rogers or anybody else.
Im a tad worried about Rogers going to them as with the financial restrictions for playing in Europe are coming into force next season (?) and the combination of buying Torres and getting Villas Boas out of his Porto contract rumoured to be easily tipping £100 millions, can they afford to buy another top European manager out of a contract if Mourihno doesn't go there?? I would have thought it unlikely, whereas i cant imagine it would cost them that much to buy Rodgers out of his contract. But still I think its all academic as i think Mourihno is going there...Capello could even be in with a shout!
Out of interest Jacks, if Brendan were to go to a bigger club (actually a story on bbc about Ashley Williams saying he deserves to, or something along those lines) who would you want in and would you blame Brendan for leaving you? If he did go I can't see another manager getting your lads playing as well as they are, so I can see why you really don't want him to go.
gutsy move by chelski if he went, i doubt he would have any power over the egos there, who would i like if he went (though it would never happen) - David Moyes
though if i was he and i did go i would be rid of terry, lampard, drogba and anelka (would be a gimme prior to signing on)
Surely, the only real attraction for becoming the next Chelsea Manager, would be the massive pay off when sacked in a years time.
Quote from Buck today saying Swan fans need not worry " I'm looking to build my career , not destroy it " reference the Chelsea job .
